Is it cheating to claim a trick if you've only done it on a summer setup? if you havent had a chance to throw it up in a park in snow.
 
i have a novel idea...maybe you could just not claim? problem solved, and then you won't be a claimer
 
Ah this is off topic. But whenever i stomp a trick or do something i have never done i always freak out you know "oh shit, you guys see that,, Uhhhhhhhh". and my friends always respond with some shitty comment like, "claim much" "someone thinks there pretty cool"

then let me put it this way, if my friend comes up to me and asks me what i can do on my skis, and i can 270 to my summer jib setup, do i say i can 270 on or would that be cheating?
 
Is your summer set up really so different from what you find on your mountain that you won't be able to take it to snow next winter?
 
without claiming the sport wouldnt be were it was...honestly would push yourself as hard if you were alone in a terrain park and no one ever saw any of your tricks
 
sometimes I like skiing by myself in the park because I'm not afraid to look like an idiot and try new stuff, and I push harder.

But thats just so I can go and impress chick by claiming, obviously.
 
i borowed and i do think ur cool............way to be mean.. oh and i claimed my first frontflip then when i watched it i felt like a douche so yya.... i dont claim anymore
 
meh i dont see why everyone is getting so mad about claiming. everyone is proud of their accomplishments and they are going to tell their friends when they land a new trick, get over it its not a big deal

i claim lots and im proud of it
 
same here, if you are stoked on landing something, be happy. being super obnoxious and super claiming everything is annoying, but hey if you landing a 270 on be happy.

I can vouch for this. I never used to claim anything and I was an outcast. Now I claim everything, including when I take a massive explosive shit, and now I am the most respected person with the most friends out of anyone in all of the world.
 
ha you can make some enemies claiming hella shit ive seen it happen except this one claimer was claiming shit that was way out of pocket not shit he could actually do or does
