Is it bad to get your skates wet?

i just build a pretty big ramp into my lake and i plan on taking my skates into it. is it bad for them if they get wet, like mess up the bearings or anything

it will probably fuck up your bearings. Use old ones.

yep, you'll roast your bearings. maybe your foot bed eventually, too. easily replaceable anyway. you should already have an extra set laying around jic

sorry for the dub, but do you have an old pair of skates layin around that you could make work? that way your nice ones stay nice. you gotta be able to find a decent cheap skate that you can use for the water

if its for a water ramp you could probally just use any old regualy skate, no reason to risk ruining your old skates

Seriously one of mine too.
-Get some skates at a thrift store. They're like 3 bucks. You might want to use a helmet and mouthguard the first few times you try it too, just in case, until you're sure that it's not super sketch.

god that was sick, next project for them is try to get rid of the surface tension with bubbles or something

and i would find cheap skates your bearings will get fucked
