Found a guy selling some dps koala 103’s almost unused for dirt cheap. Prolly gonna cop anyway, but would it be dank if i skied them doing swag trix and nosebutter 2 pretz 2?

I’d be wary of using them right away because the wax they use on them is only activated if you pull the skis out of a roof box on your Audi Q7

Just a heads up, that ski is part of their foundation line which is DPS-speak for its a far more traditional construction than typical for DPS, and its build by a big chinese factory instead. There's nothing wrong with that, but that ski probably isn't what most people expect considering the DPS name

Make sure you don’t lift your heels off the lip whatsoever but still call it a nosebutter 2 like 90% of shmucks out there

I really liked the Koala 103, definitely a stiffer freestyle ski but still playful and at home in the park, but very hard to make feel out of place. Foundation construction is really simple but also performs great. Definitely way different than other DPS skis.

So SLC local here. They do make great skis and everyone that has them seems to rave about them. There is definitely a stereotype attached and I would never buy them full price. I’m told they are stable but maybe not so playful. Ppl will think you are rich and drop cliffs

I've heard very polarized opinions. A common negative is "they engineered the fun out of skiing"

But yeah, a lot of people seem to like them too. Especially the backcountry hardos
