Is Colorado's snowpack always this shitty?

Haha I'm from ak and we complained about the 470 inch year we had two seasons ago. Then we got 970 inches last year and all was well again.

I moved from NY to CO this December to work at Vail. Even with an average or worse season we've had PLENTY of great powder days. I was working for most of them but my friends got most of them. You gotta pay attention to the snow totals daily tho. I must've had at least 3-4 days where I was nuts deep in champagne powder. Just a few days ago Breck reported 6-7 inches, Beaver Creek got 9 inches but Vail only got one. There were many days when Breck and Key claimed way higher totals than Vail/BC but we just ski'd closer to home anyway. Thats the best part about living in this valley, it's the variety. 5 different mountains at varying elevations that receive completely different snow totals but are all within an hour of each other. Someone said Vail/BC had a better year than Breck, which could easily be true. I only skied Breck maybe 7 days this year (boo hoooo haha) I just recall several days where they got twice as much snow as Vail and I wished I'd gone up their for the Imperial Chair.

I got to experience the killer year two years ago but it was my first year out west and I didn't really know how to maximize it yet. I have videos looking over at friends and they are literally trying to breaststroke through the snow because its up to their tits. Jesus I wish I could go back.

Why do people who ski Summit Co think its real skiing and feel entitled to good snow? Colorado has the flattest and most bitch mountains and even the good runs are blues and for intermediates.

(Southern parts supposed to be OK I guess.)

I am going with he has, and is is correct with his statement. Summit County is pretty flat compared to other aspects of the West Coast.

Obviously TahoeRondo has never left summit county if he thinks Colorado is the "most Bitch Mnts".

Highlands, telluride, A-basian, Crest butte, Wolf creek, Silverton, Vail, Beaver creek.

Check those places out.
