Is anyone else a little worried?

I'm sitting here patiently waiting for the eastern PA weather to get consistently cold and I browsed over the revised accuweather winter forcast...it wasn't encouraging...

"The AccuWeather.com long-range center continues to drive home the point

that a very warm winter is on the way for much of the nation,

especially

east of the Rockies"

"warmer temperatures dominating what is climatologically the coldest part of the

season."

And the most disturbing sentence:

"Unlike last winter, when the AccuWeather.com forecast indicated that

the warmth of December and early January would turn on a dime, when the

warmth returns this December it may last all of the way through

February."

I hope they are wrong. The forcast for me is 40's and 50's for the near future, which means my hill wont be opening. Today it was flippin 60 degrees.

Well i live in Ohio and we had a high of like 65 yesterday.... But i was talking to my enviromental science teacher and he said he doesnt really beleive in those long range weatehr forcasts. He thinks it may be warm at first but it will end up being cold again, its been like that since he has lived in Cincinnati (55 years). But if it doest stay warm the entire winter, we have more critcal problems to worry about then skiing.

I'm worried for Springs, but i go to college in erie so I have all the new york resorts to look foward to.

same shit where im at. except a week ago it was freezing and snowing. now its like 55 and raining!!!!!!:( north east looks like there having a proper winter though.

In BC Canada there is still snowflakes on the sheet of ice on my pool that have been there for a few days now so that means its been at a good temperature for snow but it hasnt really snowed to acctually cover any grass

but look at it this way many ski resorts on the east have opened way earlier this year. I know my home mountain attitash opened nearly a month earlier this season so as of now, I can't complain

CT got snow yesturday which is much earlier than last year when it came in late december if i remember right so who knows

im not, i live in Barrie Ontario Canada.....its snowing like fuck right now, and a local resort Horseshoe is gonna open tomorrow.

word haha, i was so stoked, but then it rained in glastonbury and all the snow melted, and then i was sad

not worried at all, shaping up to be a good european season, been cold for a while and a good amount of snow has fallen.

sorry about the smugness

ive seen so many contrasting weather forcasts for east, west, north, south, and i dont beleive any of them. some people will have a shitty winter, other will have a sick one, and thats a good prediction. just where and who has each i dont know, and im sure the weather men dont eitehr

this is somewhat off topic but i'm a little worried that other resorts will start following RCRs example and remove their jumps. i sure hope not

Actually Baker is totally melted. There's no snow here, we hiked the other day and we were jibbing rocks all day. There's absolutely nothing good worth coming here for for you non-locals.
