Anyone been watching this show? Especially the Indian Himalaya episodes up the Freefall Freeway etc and to Manali in Himachal Pradesh? It's fucking nut's...

Reason I ask is I have been on those roads.... and they are shit yo pants scary - in a shitty bus with a single track road carved into a cliff, with a 7000ft drop one side and a landslide prone slop above you....

Also - I rented a shitty moped and ragged it over the Rohtang pass to keylone one day - claim!!!

All irrelevant if you haven't seen the show - but if not, you can watch and see what im on about here...

Driving in India looks like it sucks all around. the city scene looked way too hectic. They drive so sketchy there. Pin it to win it

It is scary as fuck.... especially on the mountain roads - where they drive like nutters still.... a death EVERY 4.5 minutes! Wut!

In India - religous belief is simply that, when it's your time, it's your time and you can't do anything about that - so, if they overtake on a blind corner and mash into a cement truck - it was simply their time - if they survive, it wasn't... ha ha... it's insane. I was up there 10 yrs ago now and remember it well..... renting a shitty little moped and taking it over the rohtang pass for a "day trip" was one of the more sketchy things i've ever done.... ha.

does the history channel show history programs anymore? Didn't realize ice road truckers was part of history...

but this show sounds quite cool. Some of the roads people regularly drive on around the worldwide are absolutely insane. The type I would never ever go on. Reminds me of that top gear episode, I think in bolivia where they take one of the deadliest routes in the world.

yeah it's the same shit.... but they take the ice road truckers (i think it is anyway) and put them in these shitty indian trucks made of wood and then make them do these journey's... I think it's kind of a race or something, but the roads are epic crazy, like spending 2 months on the Bolivia one, even worse in places - watch some episodes online.... it's pretty nuts... and a real good view of what northern India is like up in the himalayas.... one of the best trips i've ever done is up there - shit yo pants roads, but epic mountains and climbing

Its good, but its not History Channel material. Get the shit about space aliens, reality shows and all the other bullshit off, I want the History Channel to be the History Chanel, not the Easily Amused channel.
