So i email Iris to see about sponcering skiers and this was their reply

Hey Ian,

Thanks for wanting to represent IS Design but unfortunately because all of

us here are strictly snowboarders, we are only committed to supporting

snowboarders. Because we don't know anything about skiing, we would feel

like we would be selling out if we hooked up athletes in sports we aren’t

personally involved in. I hope you understand, and best of luck with the

upcoming season.

I think it is good that they are sticking to their principles and not sponcering skiers. They aren't being greedy like some other snowboard companies and trying to get into skiing. The company was started by a pro snowboarder and I think it is cool that they want to stick with snowboarding.

Dude first of all, if your gonna write a letter someone about being sponSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSored (note the S)spell the god damn word right.....second....iris is a snowboard company started by sick snowboarders who only snowboard....so y would they get into skiing.....tahts like writing to armada or siver and telling them to start making snowboard gear and sponsor snoboarders...think about it...

 
lurbsteez is a dumbass, have you ever tried I.S. Designs? they suck for skiing, their airvents and shit are specificaly made for snowboarding, it doesnt work for skiing.

 
I just think its lame their overlooking newschool skiing as a sport to support riders in. I know their like roots with snowboarding.

compare it to this: how would SKIERS feel if orage started sponsering boarders? probably the same as if iris started sponsering skiers.

iris/is designs goggles are terrible anyway. i prefer sunglasses to their goggles

it seems like this stage of life for a lot of people around our age is like when you are playing a video game and you beat the Final Boss, only to find out that was just a decoy Final Boss and the real Final Boss is about 50x harder. and on top of that, you used all your special tricks to beat the Decoy, and you are also low on life. and you have a crappy third party controller.
 
Iris is the fuckin shit! Devun, Tadashi, Duff!!!! they are the shit and have pimp goggles......almost as Pimp as ELECTRIC but not quite. anyway they are the shit and who cares if they dont want to sponsor you...two reasons, one youre a skier and two you dont get sponsored by emailing someone
