Iran's Isfahan Nuclear Power Plant Attacked

Truthfully, I am in shock at the thought of this. It seems more than obvious that Isreal is behind the attack, and they show no real concern of trying to hide that fact. This comes right after additional sanctions have been added to Iran from the West, and the subsequent closing down of the Iranian embassy in the UK (due to protests that followed the sanctions at the embassy).

For the past couple of years, high-level Iranian nuclear scientists have been getting assassinated "mysteriously." By drive by shootings and car bombings. (a friend of mine in the state department knows a lot of inside intel, told me today Mossad had been behind all of these attacks).

It seems as though the West is completely cutting ties with Iran, whereas the East seems to be building a relationship with them. China imports a ton of natural gas from Iran and exports goods to them as well. Also, China and Russia have been looking to expand the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (which is basically a mutual-security organization similar to NATO by my understanding). Putin the other day released a statement essentially inviting Iran AND Pakistan (who also has terrible relations with the U.S. due to Osama's assassination and the recent attacks on Pakistani troops in Afghanistan, which was a preemptive strike regardless of what the U.S. says).

The Revolutionary Guard's leader has already stated that an Israeli attack would force Iran to attack Turkey's NATO assets (NATO has missile shields in Turkey as well as troops stationed there). Not to mention, Iran is the second largest country in OPEC. I guarantee the price of oil will surely spike (just look at oil prices during the 1990 Iraqi Invasion of Kuwait or even 1980 Iran-Iraq War).

Honestly, I don't think that Israel/U.S. thought about the dramatic consequences economically of this attack. The Stuxnet virus worked superbly, and I know another form was just found in Iranian computers by the name of Duqu that has a bunch of zero-day-based attacks as well. Why would the U.S. not attempt to utilize this technology? It seems to me from the IAEA reports that even if Iran is working on a bomb, it' still a year or two away from actual completion of one.

I'm sure that there will be retaliatory actions by Hezbollah and Hamas as well, Israel's about to become a war zone, I just hope things don't get too out of control.

good now maybe all the Middle Eastern countries will just blow each other up so we don't have to deal with anymore bull shit from over there

I don't know why I try and post anything intellectual in this place. Top ten most ignorant comments I've seen.

israel doesnt give a fuck, and iran is a bunch of pussies who wont do shit to anyone NATO related so i think your blowing this out of proportion

Israel isn't full of a bunch of pussies. Mandatory service, solid military, and they don't take any bull shit from Iran. Granted, they are being cryptic about the shit going down in Iran, meanwhile Iran isn't saying shit, and the media is super quiet on the matter. IF Israel was seriously speculated to have blown some of that shit up, that would be plastered everywhere.

lol'd at immediate thread implosion.

Please slam your head against the nearest desk, wall, etc until you either knock some sense into it, or kill yourself. Not sure which would come first based on the pure stupidity of your posts.

Do we definitely know that it was Israel though? It doesn't make sense for them to do that right now, especially with the success of that computer virus. There's definitely more to this story

never mind, just read another article online. Israel was definitely involved. "The images clearly showed billowing smoke and destruction, negating Iranian claims yesterday that no such explosion had taken place. Israeli intelligence officials told The Times that there was "no doubt" that the blast struck the nuclear facilities at Isfahan and that it was "no accident"."

Here's the article:http://www.theaustralian.com.au/new...-west-and-tehran/story-e6frg6so-1226209996774

it's really a shit show over there. all the UN sanctions aren't really doing much, and china and russia seem to have their own ideas as to what needs to be happening over there.

We need to start a war between Iran, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan and All of Africa. In result they will wipe out all the major militia groups in Africa, then we as westerners can move in safely in gain control of African sovereignty then rebuild they're economy by securing trade of natural resources and oil, then use our new found power to move lots of African soldiers into Iran and Israel to peace keep. Profit.

Please you and Jhendrix can just leave the sight as you clearly have yet to grasp a basic understanding of anything.

I think the scariest part of this article is not the actual attacks themselves but the involvement that china has in this. that china is supporting these attacks.

That is sick that your friend gave you the inside line like that considering that Iran hasn't even blamed Israel for that relatively small blast and that any info would be highly classified.

I have a buddy in the CIA who warned me against getting flu shots because they are really for mind control and of course this is legit because he is super connected.

Israel is going to BECOME war zone? I'm glad its nice and quiet there now. I hope you realize posting something your friend told you that he understands is confidential is incredibly dumb and could get him in trouble.

I ran a trip to Rwanda the past 4 years with a guy who works at the State Department (and most likely the CIA but he never admits to it). This cat gets calls from heads-of-state worldwide all the time and is pretty high up figure in the conflict-resolution world (Runs wwww.axisofhope.org). Was just jetted into Washington last weekend for some reason (he was really secretive about it, but I think it was to discuss this).

Regardless, it makes sense that Israel would attack now with Syria's (allies with Iran) military dealing with their protests. As well as other uprisings throughout the Middle East. That being said, our recent attack (and it WAS an attack, not a mistake) on a Pakistani checkpoint in Afghanistan might've been the final straw for them (we conducted the Osama operation behind their back) and they're already a nuclear state.

Scary shit.

I feel like the potential for a third world war is growing closer and closer. We really need to stop stirring up shit in the middle east. The war on terror will never be won and we are not only wasting money, resources, and lives, but we are also allowing our enemies and countries that we aren't that friendly with to make alliances. Things seem to be getting very dicey.

It's kind of sad that I get my news from NSG. Sadder still, I take the time to read most of the comments. I could feel my iq dropping.

Lots of people are acting like this is the first time Israel has quietly sent few F-16s to Iran, bombed a nuclear plant, then kicked back and acted like nothing happened. They have done this before and they don't give a crap what the world thinks. When a country's president states that the world would be better with Israel wiped off the map, then funds a questionable nuclear program....you don't mess around.

Actually it is.

Israel bombed the Osirak nuclear facility in Iraq back in the 80's and reports came out the other day confirming that they destroyed an undeclared nuclear facility in Syria. Israel has the best defense program in the world, but they are starting to piss off a lot of countries near them. I could definitely see another six day war/3rd intifada (the most likely situation is a 3rd intifada, there's been a lot of talks about that within the arab communities) type scenario happening. If that does, and any country comes to the aid of the Israeli's aid, I could see a chain of treaties (similar to WWI) creating a WWIII. All speculation, but it's scary to think about.

I think we should stop supporting isreal and let them fend for themselves.

If they get blown up so what.

Not our place

Hmm.. half my family lives in Isfahan not the greatest news I have heard... Any news on if there is any radiation leakage from the attack?

I doubt Iran will attack any NATO bases or missile shields. They would surely regret it if they did. However I'm sure there will be retaliation against Israel.
