- I hope America isn't dumb enough to go to war with Iran, even though they've been talking about it for a few years now, and every day it seems more and more likely. Iran is not Iraq, and it sure as hell isn't Afghanistan. They are a super power in the middle east. Have fun.

- Iran having a nuclear bomb is no threat to AMERICAN national security. It may be a threat to your allies like Isreal, but if they have a problem let them take care of it. Isreal has tons of nukes to defend itself. Have you guys forgotten you stood up to the solviets who had thousands of nuclear weapons and not a single bomb went off? The good thing is Canada seems to stay out of the pointless wars like Iraq and Vietnam, so hopefully we do the same with this one.

So basically, the point of this thread: How long till Team America World Police invades Iran to protect theire "Freedumz", and thousands more people die?
 
Iran won't go to war with america. obama's not that stupid. btw did anybody hear that there was an assassination attempt on ahmadinejad? some dumbass tried sniping him but hit his friend instead.
 
I don't think Obama will, but you gotta remember he's CFR, and so is a lot of his administration. Still though, 2012 isn't that far away, and if Romney/Palin/Thune/Pawlenty/Gingrich ever get their way your f'd.

Canada stayed out of pointless wars like Iraq. I don't know how to make it more clear. Canada is in Afghanistan winky.

The United States won't go to war with Iran, but if they did, Iran would be obliterated. People like to talk down about the US Air Force, but you'd have to be stupid to not realize that the USAF has the power to completely eliminate an opposing air force before it gets off the ground, destroy entire tank divisions, and level cities...overnight. It would be a bit like Desert Storm all over again. Hell, the air force could bomb iran from bases in the US. Back in 1990 iraq wasn't exactly a superpower, but they weren't a 3rd world country either, yet they were crushed in a matter of days.

What people like you have forgotten is how low casualty rates in iraq/afghanistan really are. More soldiers would die going into iran, but it still wouldn't be that high.

plus the political/social climate in iran isn't exactly the best for the current regime. They wouldn't have millions of people willing to throw themselves under tanks to defend iran and it's glorious leaders. A lot of the people there hate the government, and want change. (remember all those protests awhile back...?)

plus israel would join the fight. Send in 100 mossad/idf special forces soldiers and that'd probably do considerable damage because israelis are insane.
 
Your right, the states would pwn Iran. But my arguement is, what is the point of going to war with them? These people have done no harm to you, and are not even a legitamate threat (you kinda even proved that with your response). America has forgotten what made them so great in the first place...
