so my computer's harddrive got erased, but i backed up all my songs and shit on my ipod. i want to transfer the songs to my computer, but i don't want to just drag them from the harddrive (because the song titles are just like LK34L34 and i want to know whats what). all the things i've found so far have been trial versions and shit. does anyone know of a link to a program that does it legit for free? thanks

theres something called music rescue. look it up on yahoo answers

the only problem is if you dont want to pay for it then you have to click ok every 50 songs

i had music rescue when i had a PC, to get past the 50 song thing just leave something sitting on the enter/return key, then it automatically does says ok or whatever you choose on all the "upgrade to pro" notifications

Just show hidden folders on your ipod and go into the iPod_control folder and copy the music folder. All your stuff's in there with messed up names, but when you import it into iTunes (you have to make it a non-hidden folder first), the ID3 tags give the progam the correct names.

if you're on a mac use ipod rip, if not just search google for an ipod rip program and download the trial, you only need to do it once

Does anyone know of a program that will backup your ipod library to your computer, but will check for songs you already have saved?

for example, if I backup now then add more songs to my ipod, then backup again, the program won't replace all the ones that are on there just the new ones.

Hopefully thats not too confusing, +K for links.
