Ipod problems! Help!

So I've been having trouble lately with my Ipod. The part im having trouble with is the connection piece to the USB cord. Its like I have to wiggle the cord around for it to finally pick it up, then it still comes in and out. It's definiteley the Ipod because I've tried many different cords. I'm trying to avoid getting charged up the ass from apple, so if anyone has some good solutions for me, plus karma!
 
yeah dude happens to me aswell. its like the connections real weak or something eh. what i find helps is turning the ipod on and putting it on main menu before plugging it in. somehow makes the comp recognize it faster, i duno how, just does
 
shittt blake. thats definatly gonna be some lovely hardware repair your gonna have to do. ill look around for some replacement ports online.
