^^^ tremblant tripper is right, its all subjective as to how many songs an mp3 player can hold...if you ripped the mp3's only at 32kbps then an mp3 player which holds '5,000 songs' could actually hold practically double that..but if they're say 320kbps..then it'd probably only hold about 2500 if that...the trick is is to rip them as AAC files at 128 kbps, this is equivalent to 192kbps in MP3 format, which is perfect cd quality with no detectable loss to the human ear...i have done a lot of research on music and mp3's etc..plus i'm the campus rep for apple at my college so trust me on this...ipod is the way to go, with all songs at 128kpbs in AAC format, that is the best quantity/quality ratio..kind of like a case of miller lite vs. a case of keystone haha
