Ipod Help

I am relitivly new to this Ipod thing so I have a question. When i hook it up to my computer to charge it, the screen says do not disconnect and the little battery in the corner keeps gilling up then going empty( if you know what I mean). If you could help me, that'd be great.

P.S. It's a mini.

defore you disconnet it hit the eject button next to the ipod icon in itunes. and the battery thing on the screen is just to tell you its harging. get on of the wall transformers. its more efficient than charging from your computer.

do you need iTunes on the computer to charge it?

nope, you can plug it into any computer, i sometimes use a PS2
