Ipod batteries

Is it true that the cold can effect the life of your ipod battery? I was thinking about getting a shuffle for this purpose since I'm going to start skiing in colder conditions.

ya cold has great effect on battery life with ipods,cameras,videocameras, and phones. i ski in the midwest and conditions are usually pretty cold, but ive never had problems with running out of battery with my ipod. one time i was about to take some pictures with my dads d200 and it was out in the car for awhile, and before we left i had fully charged the battery and when i turned the camera on, after i pulled it out of the car, is was totally dead.

get an ipod case and then wrap that in something warmmmmm like a warm sock or leather bag or something, also you can thow an handwarmer in with it too.

exactly, just toss it in a sealed pocket (insulated if possible) with and handwarmer and you're all set.

put mine on the inside of my coat and never have a problem with it dying, even without a hand warmer
