So i'm thinking of buying an iphone 4/4s this summer. Like and ipod touch, can you manually manage music and grab mp3's off other people's computers? It sucks cause the majority of the music i have on my itouch is not from my computer. +k for good helpz
 
this. once the 5 comes out, the 4s and 4 will drop in price, or you can just get the 5. not a good time to buy right now with the 5 coming out relatively soon, since youre gonna have a 2 year contract with this phone
 
I just made a thread asking about this the other day, so hopefully it can help you. If all the music you want is on your iPod touch then use this program SENUTI (iTunes spelled backwards).

If you have less than 1000 songs that you want to transfer its free, otherwise its like 18.99. I had to buy it, but it's totally legit and only took about 15-20 minutes to transfer several thousand songs.

Also, you could take your other friends' ipods, and use them with this program and put their music on your computer too.

you can manually manage music, but if you download senuti you can copy up to 1000 songs off of your iPod to your computer for free. There was another program I had right when I got my new mac for college, and it let me copy all my music, so now I have it all and just sync. But I would honestly wait for the 5, which will be around september. the 4 and 4s are already great, I have a 4 and my mom and my little bro have the 4s, and even if you don't want the 5 or whatever it will be called, you will at least be able to pick one up cheaper
 
well my 2 year contract on verizon has me due for a phone upgrade, and my birthday is in 2 months, so i'll probably just grab a 4. thanks though, the senuti program sounds solid
 
ya, didn't even see that someone else already posted a link to senuti.

Also, I want to say this is the free one for more than 1000 songs, but also I think you can just either close and reopen senuti or like uninstall it. used to be really easy
