Iphone or blackberry

jobs refuses to put flash on the iphone, some droid phones are already running flash lite and will have full flash in the near future. the iphone is slowly dying. apple is making the same mistake they made with computers decades ago. they came out with the first personal computer, marketed it well, everyone loved it (same with iphone) but then bill gates came around and basically took what apple had and made it open source. this eventually made software developers flock to windows over mac. the same thing is happening right now with the ipone vs android. android is open source, and even though there are more iphone apps as of right now, i suspect the droid market will surpass it in coming years. dont get me wrong, i'm no apple hater, i have a unibody mbp and absolutely love it, i dont think i could ever use a pc laptop again, but regardless i think the iphone has passed its peak and is slowly being killed by android. i guess this has nothing to do with op's question but w/e
 
ya exactly.

thats the problem with apple. they put the capabilities of their products in a large box. the possibilities are vast, as far as the eye can see but there are sides to this box and you will reach them. apple is great until you want to do your own thing then something pops up saying 'nope sorry can't do that, we made this machine in our eyes perfect, and anything you want to do outside this boundary will taint the system.

microsoft doesn't do that.

and thats why i hate apple.
 
but to me, an iPhone user for the last two years, the iPhone is perfect and I don't want any other phone currently on the market. No Blackberry. No Droid. However, this is just my opinion. Not flaming the droid, nor the blackberry, they're just not my cup of tea.
I think this is how most iPhone users feel. We love our iPhones and couldn't give a fuck less what everyone else does. We know how awesome our phones are, we know it isn't much of a competition. The only competition is making a phone that's as good as the iPhone, and thus far, from MY point of view, nothing has even come close.

Or maybe you just need to realize that not everyone needs an open source phone. An iPhone works just fine. I don't have an iPhone, I have a shitty free phone that can text, call, and take pictures, I'm probably gonna get a Blackberry so I can have better texting, email, and access to social networking. It's not like I'll be held back by the fact that I don't have access to a super crazy amount of features.

I feel like iPhone users feel the same way. They can use it as a normal phone, listen to music, watch videos, browse the web, and use a tone of apps. They don't need crazy adaptability.

I just picked up a sony x10 and its pretty slick so far. Its android OS and huge high res touch screen. 8.1 megapixel camera aswell.

As far as the Iphone goes, its a good phone for sheeple IMO. Sure the iphone works very well out of the box but literally that is all it will ever be, it will never change or improve from generation to generation now. The new apple 4g phone seems to be basically upgrading the phone to hardware standards of today because the current 3g phone hardware is dated at this point. iphone is doing so well based mostly on marketing and the simple interface of the phone, there is really nothing great about the hardware and software. The camera is god awful, it gets bogged down from time to time running apps and web browsing, apple seem to hate flash, and the battery life of the phone is horrid. It seems alot of hipster just love the appeal of apple product based solely on marketing and face value and dont truly want a superior phone in hardware/software sense and are willing to pay a huge premium just have the almighty iphone. There is no part of an iphone where you can customize your phone in a literal sense, you cant alter the Interface provided by apple because of its lack of open source where as any android is highly adjustable to cater to the user. I guess the point im trying to make is that the iphone loses to most modern phones in almost all areas in regards to software/hardware but still manages to outsell with an inferior product.

Used to have a blackberry bold. Switched to an iphone 3gs a couple months ago, don't regret it at all. Definitely a fan of the Iphone. Having a physical keyboard is nice though.
 
I have a BB 8520 and to be honest I think I'd rather have an iPhone. I'm posting this from my iPod touch and though the touch keyboard really isn't all THAT bad, I'd rather have a physical keyboard.

Now, with that said, my first choice would be a droid or any kind of google based phone. I've toyed with numerous models and oh, my god, those things are amazing. In terms of aesthetics and having a fast, sleek feeling phone that is not buggy and can do almost anything, google rapes apple AND BB in their asses. Hard. Simultaneously.

But if it's strictly between iPhone and BB... from a bb user... I say iPhone. Sorry RIM fans :/
 
ive had an iphone for 1 and a half years. In this period it has had 6 hardware failures/crashes, and needed to be replaced 6 times. I do not love my iphone, and I know many people who do not love their iphones either. And all iphone owners do give a fuck about what everyone else does, thats why they bought it in the first place.
