Iphone 6 September 9

why the fuck are they making it bigger? the whole point of a phone is for it to be portable.

That's what I have. I hate it... it freezes up sometimes just opening text messages and that drives me up a wall.

I had that problem with my HTC Vivid but this one hasn't done anything like that to me yet

Damn I really hope not. It got to the point on my Vivid where I would just let it die and not charge it for 5 or 6 days because it was such a pain

iPhone 6: 137.5mm H, 67mm W, 7 mm D

Galaxy S5: 142 mm H, 72.5 mm W, 8.1 mm D

Idk what you consider to be a big phone, but I think the 6 is pretty ideal

i thought the 5 was huge after being used to a 4. Now this is just gonna throw a wrench in my life

I don't get all the hype. I'm ok with using this iPhone 4.

Got the 5c for like $20 plus a $50 otterbox and this shit is bombproof. Not getting another iPhone when my upgrade comes around. I like Apple's OS but the S5 and HTC One are far more powerful spec wise and just better phones and I'm still hitting myself for not paying an extra $80 for a nice Android.

I like the idea of android, but iphones are way more convenient, which is why I have a hard time switching. Especially since I usually just jailbreak my iphones, theres really no need.

Iphones have a giant plus in the app store, imessage, and just being super compatible with other devices. I know they sound like bs reasons, but imo it makes a difference.

Also, with ios being a more solid platform to tweak once its been cracked, I just jailbreak them and then customize it to exactly what I want it to do and i have no complaints.

So I would probably get a 6 in the end, depending on the cost and if I have an upgrade. And then deal with ios8 for a little bit until its been cracked and devs are adding tweaks

backup your data and factory reset. or do a settings reset, if your phone has that option. it'll bring it back to the speeds you had when you got it. might be a little pain, but it's worth it to do so every couple months.

Not digging the increase in size. Girl pockets are already a joke, now I'll have to use a purse to carry my phone. Oh well, I'll probably cave and buy a new one.

Other than imessage, calling, social media, googing random shit, and clashing i don't use my phone for anything too complex thats why i got rid of my android. and lets be honest its apple people may bitch about their products but they are still going to buy it weather they like it or not.

Then don't get it?

I'm probably gonna get one I've had an HTC for the past three years which is pretty shitty but I do love android and the new HTC One looks great. But iOS is just more convenient and less buggy and I like the bigger screen. It's not even that much larger.

13 megapixel camera on the iphone 6 (compared to the 8 megapixel cam on the 5s)

if there was a stock for basic bitch white girl iphoneographers, i would invest all i had into it right now.

lol

Bout time they made the screen bigger.

All you 4/5 users who buy a iPhone 6 won't notice the difference after using it for a couple days.

I went from a galaxy nexus to note 3 and it felt big at first but a few days later I didn't even notice and now I would never want something smaller.

i try SO hard to break out of the apple ecosystem but it is difficult. everything is so integrated, imessage on all my devices, flawless calendar/contact/email sync, it's crazy.

to be honest, the number one thing that apple has is imessage. it is keeping me bound like none other

Anyone else have the Google nexus 5? I fucking love my phone. Its got a hell of a decent sized screen, great camera, I've watched so much porn and have so many apps and its never slowed down on me. WOULD RECOMMEND.

I also heard that it's going to have yet another different charging port. Stupid Apple.. At least they made it bigger

Might aswell make the IPad a phone because they re going to be the same thing pretty soon.

i like mine as well. only thing thats weird is the curved back, which irritates me when i lay it on its back and try to type on it, which is impossible because it wobbles all over the place. the rounded back also caused me to slide it right off a table with a little toss once too, so you have to be careful of that. thing has like no friction. and the front facing camera is all weirdly distorted at the top edge. not a deal breaker, but strange.

overall, love the thing. my kind of phone, for sure. wouldn't want it to be any bigger, though.

you've never switched it so I don't think you can talk about if it's worth it or not I have, and it absolutely is it just takes 3 seconds longer for a text message to go through

I have to deal with so many people bring these in to the geek squad because they are "broken". Android is absolutely awful compared to the iOS operating systems. Specs mean nothing if the phone is constantly freezing and crashing.

I'm still using an iPhone 4s and have never had a single issue with it after 3 years. I will probably get the 6 eventually

Still rockin my fucked up iPhone 4s.

Has a hole in the top left corner, a very, very shattered screen, and I've dropped it in the river. Twice.

Works like a charm.

I've got a 5 and it's about time to upgrade to the 6. iOS is so much easier to use than android. And once you jailbreak it it's just as, if not more powerful than android. Plus iMessage, the App Store, and everything integrated is so sick and convienent.

No, I've had android phones before, albeit not very recently. And I know its dumb, but I really like the read receipts and delivered and typing on imessage. Its super convenient and sounds dumb but it definitely makes a difference. Also ios is a way more stable platform. I get way less crashes than all my android friends and thats even with my jailbreak that likes to bug out sometimes

I predict that this apple launch will be yet another snorefest.

We will see in 2.5 hours
http://www.apple.com/live/

I think they will also be announcing the iWatch. I hate wearing watches so I'd probably never get one, but I'm interested to see what it will do. And I'm just excited for ios 8 on my current phone.

8MP camera, new sensor, and Apple wants to make the Iphone 6 into a portable console? Focus is being shifted there for the worse, I know myself I like physical buttons on my consoles

Meh.... Nothing totally mind blowing. I wonder if they'll actually launch the iWatch or if this will just be more incremental catch-up bullshit from they who used to innovate.

yeah, apple's just riding the wave at this point. They don't need to innovate because they just sell anything they slap their name on.

Since Cook became CEO, Apple just hasn't been innovating like they used to. If its Apple brand they believe everyone will buy it, no matter what little they change from one products generation to the next

I'm not going to argue which is better. Because that's all opinion and you won't listen anyways.

But rooting an android gives you so much more options to "tweak," compared to a jail broken iPhone.

Whelp.... gotta take that one back I guess.

Ah fuck you apple.... I want an iWatch now.

I just wish I didn't have to use siri, apple maps and your plethora of other piece of shit apps.
