Ios 7 for free and easy

So i saw a thread on "Thoughts About ios 7" and figured i would post a thread on how to get it for free. All of you know that IOS 7 has been reveled and that you can "only" get it of you are a developer welllllll not true i just got it and it literally took me 15 min (mainly just waited for stuff to download) Anyways its super easy and it beats paying 108$ just watch this - http://

It's ya boy d7...

I was surprised with how easy this was, other than taking me 3 fucking hours to download for some reason. Didn't watch the video, literally just gotta download a file and shift click so I don't see how it could be 7 mins long tbh

All stays, although I think you might need to re-enter passwords. I even restored my iphone a few days ago(presumably a soft restore) and whenever I downloaded an app/ a game it still had the saved data.

Right now ios 7 is probably gonna be full of bugs and not that cool (please let me know if I'm wrong if you've downloaded it). It also wont have a jailbreak for a while, I'm still running 5 on my iphone 4 just because they never go around to jailbreaking 6.1.3. Probably all of the cool stuff will be on cydia anyways as a tweak

I've found no bugs yet, the multitasking is annoying now though, so is the lock screen, but it's probably a big improvement once I get used to it.

This things pretty crazy though, so fucking useful

the only thing stopping me is that i've heard of people using beta's and somehow their iphone turns into a brick, i don't know much on the topic so how risky is it to do this? is it difficult to go back to iOS 6 if i decide to? thanks in advance for any help.

Might be a tiny bit laggier than 6, but it's also quicker to do some things, so it's a tradeoff I guess, might just be me doing too much at once in excitement haha.

Still got all my contacts,

anybody know what devices are supported? I'm using my old iphone 4 until this fall (maybe november) and then I will likely get an iPhone 5 or whatever the new one will be called. If it works on the 4 I might play around with it a little tho

only problem with this is that you will have to get the next beta every time they update it.

apple has it so the previous betas stop working

Fuck.

But how do they manage this exactly? you'd have to connect to the internet, so what is it specifically that causes it?

i wouldn't recommend any other way but through a developers account due to your udid not being active.

anyways, if you have any questions about ios 7 let me know i'm pretty familiar with it.

beta's only work for a certain period of time & eventually will stop working, usually when the next update comes out or a couple days after.

the updated beta will be released through apple again, through the developers account. You'll have to get the update that way, or if not, the way the OP posted.

BAM. beta's expire as i mentioned above. hence why I wouldn't recommend it on a primary device or through anyone not using a developers account.

well once it expires you can just do the same thing to get the second beta or just restore back to your old os version

not stupid, just have to update it by plugging it into your computer again, which isn't a problem unless you're gonna be away from your computer for an extended period of time

.

@Piotr, when does it shut off? Like just randomly after the next beta my phone could just become blank?

started the download but still not sure about it. an answer to the questions above anyone? and is it supposed to be an hour download?

check the file size. it's a 1 gig download, that can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour, depends on how good your internet is

also

this has some info on the expiration

http://www.ijailbreak.com/news/ih8sn0w-states-that-ios-7-beta-1-will-expire-july-24th/

In the mean time, iH8Sn0w tweeted today that iOS 7 beta 1 (11A4372q) will expire on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 12AM (GMT). Apple implemented expiry timers on beta firmwares to ensure developers who update to one of the beta firmwares either upgrade to the next beta or the official firmware when it is released. If you do no upgrade to the next firmware version in time your device will be placed in Recovery Mode.

apparently they have an expiration date built into the OS, and at a certain time, it will automatically go into recovery mode. i imagine it will be a few days after they release beta 2, to give everyone time to update. this forces developers to have the most recent update, so they can be certain their apps work

So I just spent two hours downloading it and it looks to be not in the proper format. I used the exact link from his video... can someone give me the link and DL they used for the iOS 7 beta for iphone 5 please.

No ipod touch 4th gen? :(

Nbd i guess still have my iphone 5 to try it on. Also whats this about $108? Do you have to pay that when it comes out in the fall or is that what beta costs if you dont use op's vid?

open up multitasking and swipe up on that bitch. if you've used android 4.0, it's pretty much the same thing

This was pretty cool, gonna be awesome when it's actually released. I reinstalled 6.1.3 though, better to play it safe.

works pretty well with the 4s. control center is definitely one of the best features integrated, and springboard is cool i guess (the moving background that adjusts the screen to give it more depth)

Another pretty stupid question. When you restore your iphone tp get ios7, what do you lose? like games, picture, messages?

I'm downloading the two files right now and i leave for sweden in two hours where i really depend on my phone, - if i'm not connected to any internet or wifi after this, will Apple still be able to make it not work when they release a beta? Because i won't be able to update it.

This is from Today - Sunday

Damn it Im leaving on the 22 for 2 weeks with no Internet. I have never done beta for apple only android but I'm excited.

yes, your phone will become a metal and glass paper weight. think of it like a built in bomb to your phone, where on the 24th of july it blows up beta 1, just on a much less violent scale

beta 2 should release a few days prior to beta 1 expiring, at which point you update or restore back to 6.1.3 or 6.1.4

downgraded to 6, Too many bugs and too much lag, I might upgrade once beta 2 comes out.
