Hi NS. I'm not normally one to shamelessly promote myself or my company but Mr Bishop invited us to throw up this forum post as part of our recent advertising campaign on NS, and I am a long time member of the site, so I hope this is OK.

Just a quick introduction to our brand: Boax Clothing (pronounced the same as "soaks" in case you're in doubt), www.boax.co.uk.

Boax was established Scotland in 2006 and originally specialised in handmade custom beanies. In 2012, handmade beanies still form the backbone of our product line, now featuring a state-of-the-art preview system (see www.boax.co.uk/headwear/handmade-custom-beanies), and we now have an expanded range of headwear items and full range of men's/women's tees, hoods and zips.

An international team of riders currently represents the brand and are we now based in the ski-mecca of Chamonix, France. I've personally clocked 63 ski days already this winter, and keeping busy sending out orders at night and down-days. Yes, "the dream" is certainly being lived!

Introductions aside, we'd like to announce our spring sale: currently 20% off all items in our online shop, www.boax.co.uk. Feel free to use discount code NEWSCHOOLERS for an extra 5% off your order. Hopefully the exchange rates work out OK for you guys outside of Europe.

Please also check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/boaxclothing and give it a "Like" to keep up to date with product news, team news and promotions.

Thanks guys, enjoy the rest of spring skiing!

Lookin good man. I remember seein your stuff back in the old crochet cult days. Good to see you makin it happen.

This has been mentioned a couple of times. Our designer made our logo around 2006 and both of us saw the Insight logo for the first time in 2011, so this is purely coincidental, and the logos are different enough for this not to concern us.

Thanks for the orders anyway guys, keep 'em rolling.

Hell yeah, I owe a lot to the CC days. Tinga, you still going 100% with the beanies? Hope it's working out well for you.

haha I'm still only making beanies but I'm also working on getting a "real" job. Tinga's Hats was more a business to get me through college. Your apparel looks sick though.

Just a friendly heads up.... That brand has similar product to you, and serves a similar crowd. Not only is your brand image possibly going to be really hurt when people pass your clothing off as insight when they see it (aka, your exposure going to someone else, for free) but if they can prove they put the logo into production / created it before you, it's so similar that it could be grounds for legal trouble. IF they wanted to go that way.

I would look into switching it up. Way worse than the small possibility of legal trouble is the fact that its very likely that someone will take a look at your shirt and say to themselves "ohhhh that new insight piece is fire!!!" They are a far more well known brand than you, and that could really hurt your potential.

Great product though, keep slaying it!

i feel like up and coming company's always try to hard to create an original logo that ends up looking retarted, but im really diggin yours. it looks so pro on the tags as part of the word. just sayin...
