I worked at Stratton Mtn (also an Intrawest owned resort) for about 5 years. Benifits for me inculded huge discounts on gear (I worked in a retail shop) discounts retail wide (so other shops in the village) food discounts, free pass, and free lift tickets and discounted lodging at other Intrawest resorts. Usally, if I were to go to another intrawest owned resort, I would get 5 or so days of skiing for free, and roughly 50% off on lodging.

Needless to say, the place also 'got my foot in the door' of the ski industry and now I have moved on the bigger, better things.

So, with that said, I would reccomend getting job for any ski resort, you will get hookups and get to ski quite a bit.

Intrawest season pass holders get half off lift tickets at other resorts. I imagine employees would get something similar.

They get a food discount too but it's not spectacular. Something like 10-20% off.

Friends don't get jack in the way of Discounts. The loophole is if your buddy uses his discount to buy stuff 'for himself' that he just decides to sell to you right afterwards. Staff get some ticket discounts (very few - like 2 half price for first year seasonal staff as I recall) with their Christmas paycheque, but that's about it. Don't think for even a second that you have hit the gravy train. Not legitimately anyhow.
