Intervalometer help...

i have a canon t3i, and up until last night i had a working intervalometer for it... it somehow broke (i originally thought it was the battery but after the replacement it still did not work).

so i need suggestions for a new one...

thanks for any and all help!

Do you have a TI graphing calculator?

If you google Graphing calculator intervalometer you'll find tutorials on how to make a program that works perfectly.

eBay. They're cheap and work exact same as expensive canon brand one. They cone from china though, so don't expect it right away - mine took two months to come in mail. Only cost 12.50?shipping included though!

I bought mine off Amazon. Cheap, shipped pretty fast and seems pretty well built. They have a bigger "selection" than ebay.

@chunter: which one did you buy?

@plorr: thanks, ill look into that. unfortunately my laptop battery doesnt hold a charge so this may not be the best way to go...

nice, did you use a TI-83?

also, what kind of things can it do? u can control the interval, but is there anyway to program it to take a long exposure (longer than the 30 seconds allowed by the camera?)

i have been using an aputure intervalometer for my 7d for about 6 months now, and besides the fact that there is no off button so the battery runs out fairly quickly, it has never failed me. got mine on amazon for around 40$ shipped

im pretty sure this is the exact same one that i bought

i have no idea what happened to mine. i went out to take some pics the other night and it was off. i assumed that it was the battery, purchased a replacement and that didnt work. beyond that I have no idea. I treat all of my camera equipment with the utmost care so I have no idea what could have happened to it.
