I mean I respect that you want to post things that you feel Bush has done a good job with but some other presidents on that list did great things as well, compare what Bush has done to what they did.

And we didn't go to war with Bosnia; we created the Dayton accords to effectively not go into war there but if we had it would have been because innocent people were being slaughtered. There were U.N. troops on the ground there who were supposed to be creating safe areas but they really couldn’t do anything and it wasn’t a full scale force just a small amount.

The America myth of the revolutionary war has never given enough, if any, credit to the french. In my opinion, the french really won the war for us. As an American, that doesnt really piss me off, nor does it change my opinion of the french today

 
I gave aggro props because what he said is pretty much true, even if it is presented as 'propaganda'. It kind of puts thing into perspective. Even though it is presented in a VERY BASIC manner.

People give the US shit for getting involved and/or doing things in their self interest. Give me a nation that has never done this. Ridicule for that is bullshit. If you want the world to be a community, you need to be involved. I totally agree with what skiinsted said about taking action abroad. In our current world, leading by example simply can't fix everything. Human nature IS self interest. You can never make the assumption that everything can fix itself. You can't always be a self preserving hermit. Especially with a nation like the United States. Common sense.

As for historical misinterpretations, for now, I'm not touching that with a 10ft pole.

I heard, on FOX news so it might not be true, that Iraq was developing nuclear weapons. I also heard that Iraq harbors terrorists, I forget this guys name, and no I am not talking about osama. I was wondering if this was true because i heard it on FOX news.

one correction about FDR during ww2. due to the tripartite ageement, japan, germany, italy were all allies and would back each other up, if they went to war. So japan attacks us, and we naturally declare war on them. Well since we declare war on Japan, then by default Germany and Italy declare war on us, so in effect since both of those countries declare war on us also, we had to declare war on them. its not like we attacked Germany unadulterated.

I think I made the mistake of not being clear. I shouldn't have said astute, I should have said interesting. I made the initial assumption that he compiled that completely on his own.
