I thought that instead of the SSE we can have some sort of mock betting, were we can bet on different sporting events like the NHL play offs, world cup rugby, soccer, ............... and so one, i would rather do that then play the stock market on skiers

i think that the sse is a good idea....but it just needs to be reset, start from the begining, everyone start with $20 000 again and just have fun with it....

this new betting idea is cool too, maybe we can do both?

maybe instead of other sports we could bet on comps and get odds on the different skiers...just an idea

 
I love pools, so I talked to Harvey about letting me run a playoff hockey pool (just for shits and giggles, not for money), unfortunately, by the time I talked to him about it, it was too late for this year, but I can assure you that there will be a pool for hockey playoffs next year.

I've only done pools for hockey and world cup, so I don't know how to do any else. I'll see if I can think of a pool for football, perhaps based on the over/under, if anyone is interested, and Harvey lets us.

we should do betting, but with games that we play.

for instance, we get online at a certain time, or it just might work all the time, but whatever and we have a game to play, like the ones on this site. some of us can play and the others can watch and bet on other members. i think that is an awesome idea

Sounds like it could be a good idea, but how would we keep up to date with everything? Someone would have to be constantly updating scores, odds, upgaming games, etc... I think that the amount of work it'd be would make it die after time.

Maybe you could find a couple people dedicated to each sport that could update everyday, but I would start small with only one sport or something! Then start to grow after that!

That is the craziest sport EVER! Not too many people on this site know what it is though. I've only seen it twice, and both times was at like 4am.

I remember I tried to find the rules to that once. I figured it went something like this: drink LOTS so you don't feel the pain.

Could you explain the rules of the game to us?

start with any sport. once everyone figured out how to do the sse i kinda lost interest. and with the betting noone can pridict anything

I think betting on skiing would be cool.

What about for the SSE, having several different stock exchanges, so that they open at different times, allowing people all over to trade with ease despite wonky hours due to having them live in, say, New Zealand. Just think of poor Timmy! And you could buy share in the whole market, or the top 10 or something like that. Maybe have Canadian West, American West, North American East, European and Oceania exchanges or something rad like that.

Sigs are really starting to bug me.
