Installing Baskets on Ski poles...

Right ive just picked myself up a pair of Amplid nophobe ski poles,however getting the baskets to go onto the poles is a real bitch,no matter how much strength i put into getting these on the fucking thing wont slip into place.Ive tried washing up liquid as a bit of lubricant but ive got no luck.Anyone got any pointers on the easiest way to do this?

possibly try putting the basket in boiling water for a little while, then put in on the pole...the heat from the water will expand the basket a little bit and that should make it easier.

try jamming it into some snow. thats what i did this weekend when my basket fell off

Absoloute legend!! That worked a treat. Literally put it into the mug of boiling hot water from the kettle for 8 seconds.Then it slipped on like a glove!!

then run it under cold water for 5 seconds and leave it to settle.

i have some scott baskets and they're anchored into place with little metal teeth (hard to explain)
i just got a piece of pipe; turned my pole upside down, placed basket on the pole, slid the pipe over the tip and against the basket.then tap the pipe with a hammer untill the basket has slid down enough to fit properly....
