Instagram Handles on Car. Why Do You Do It?

bunch of pussies unless your car is interesting

truck guys under 30 with horridly ugly builds are the worst offenders

I have mine because we post cool van life stuff and I want to get followers. Also have my venmo so people can send me gas money so they can keep seeing my cool road trip pics.

Live laugh love!

That sounds like a good reason. I think a lot of others do it for clout or it’s like a car focused page

I was joking, I hate the van ones too. Idk, I get the concept but it still seems cringey to me. Especially these days where everyone and their mom has a shitty travel insta and probably doesn't go anywhere cool or post good pictures. Seeing venmo's on peoples cars makes me want to slap them. Should request money from them.

Idk, Like you bought a van and are doing a road trip and if people see you in a lot at a hiking trail they can look you up, but does anyone really care? Or are people just that desperate for the followers. I guess prolly both. I'm sure some people click it.

Lmao, sounded like an actual way to scrape by as a ski bum. I always bend my standards when skiing is involved

Yeah honestly if it gets you a few bucks whatever. I personally couldn't bring myself to do it. When I was traveling a ton people were trying to get me to do a travel thing. I was like fuck that. I didn't even use insta much then. Idk kinda wish I did because I got robbed on one trip and lost some sick pictures. But otherwise meh. I guess it's just not my thing. Both because I hate being like "Hey look at me" especially doing meh shit like people post, and also it's just stress I don't want. I'd rather just do it and travel till I'm poor and come back or find a job along the way.

If people make it work good for them. Idk if it's standards , anxiety about that shit or both. I just can't do it. Guy at work was just talking about buying a boat with a friend and sailing around the world. I was like word that sounds cool. Then starts talking about making a gofundme to raise money. I'm like, you motherfucker.

Idk I guess if people will give you the money then whatever. It's just the weird entitlement of the people asking for it I guess.

Actually speaking of ski bum. I probably could see putting one on the car that says "Poor ski bum, if you want to buy me a beer" and then have your venmo. I prolly wouldn't do it, but might buy em a beer.

lol at first I actually believed you and the venmo sticker kinda reminded me of those people on snap that put their venmo up if their hungry or some shit like bitch aint nobody gonna give you money lol

Most of the 'builds' are rep wheels, cold air intakes, and wraps on econo cars and other gimmicky shit.

Like jeremy bro nobody wants to follow your ford focus or chevy cruz.

There's no greater scene where people try to front something more than it's worth.

Totally whack for personal instagrams.

The only way I could see it being okay is if you're a business owner with a wrap of your business on your company car and have contact info on it.

Even then though... hate being assaulted by ads all the time

if [tag=104058]@theabortionator[/tag] 's car had it's own insta I'd subscribe

Been to 40 something states I think. She's had a good life on the road. I don't think I could keep up with that shit and trying to hashtag dumb shit to gain followers. I've taken some pic on the road but that just seems like a lot.

#roadtrip #namaste #notallwhowonderdodrugs #lookatmycar

i honestly didnt know IG was used for anything else besides cars thats why I got on it at least. Then made mistake of using FB to create my IG page or somehow it linked and became visible to my FB contacts and got fuckin awkward posting my cars and street race videos in front of family and friends. Then my wife found my newly created mostly private car page and got pissed off about some of the stuff i was posting there..damn day we live in today unless you use a VPN and Swiss email account, people always find you via the algorithms…

I love the IGs on cars though then you can follow their buikd. I raced a kid in a RS3 coming back from Vail and got his IG off car. we’re supposed to do more proper races someday. Also kinda hate tinted windows cuz then you cant really communicate with other cars visually.

But what if you put your newschoolers username on your car?

You should do it, don't forget your avatar pic as well

Actually just do CATFART on your Michigan license plate lol

The license plate idea is genius. I just gotta hope for a friendly employee at the SOS so it gets approved.

There's your plate for the gti if it ever runs. Make it a historical plate to really make it dumb.

If I ever get 40k of disposable income to put into my car I'd do it

But since I do not have 40k of disposable income to put in my car

I will not

Or really mild wranglers with $2000 roof racks and those angry headlight covers.

You won't.

Id love to get the plates “IH8 POW” on my car. Especially with the annoying amounts of people commuting from Denver to mountains with POW stickers on their 4Runners.

get me a NS IG decal and i’ll put it on my car

easiest way to cyber bully kids who think their car is worth sharing with the world.

on a side note, anybody with their venmo on their car gets a request for money from me. i pray that somebody accidentally sends me money thinking they are accepting a gift.

on another side note, the people that ask for money via venmo, gofundme etc are the same people that donate large sums of money to random people/orgs they have never met because they want to post a screenshot to their socials and show others how generous they are. then cry that their no experience corporate job is abusing them and they dont have enough money to survive and the government should pay for their daily Starbucks

Car enthusiasts respect other cars (for the most part). And when they see a cool car on the street, they’d like to know more about it. It’s a way of connecting within a community without needing to network at car meets. Let people do what they want.

these the kind of mfs with these stickers or it’ll be some economy car with a wrap and rims that i believe was already stated above

16v from a mk2 with a turbo strapped to it with no compression. That I've started to tear into. Had a wasted trans(I have a new one). Suspension all needs to be replaced. It shouldn't be ridiculously hard, just time consuming.

What's wrong with it? MkI are such a piece of cake...like Legos

Nice. I had a caddy many years ago. I had a shop rebuild the 1.6D and I slapped a built pump on it. Did a fair bit of restoration, suspension rebuild/upgrades and junkyard mods. At the time you could find MkI in the junkyard regularly, at least in California, and many would have mods...strut tower braces, sway bars, lowering springs, steering wheels, short shifters, lip spoilers, etc.

Ugh, I love Evos. My favorite car that I’ll never own. Found his IG but not much for good posts. Idk, I love the IG handles

To promote your Instagram handle on your car organically, consider using custom decals, attending local events, and engaging with your audience. For a quick boost in profile views, you can purchase Instagram profile visits from bumplikes. However, it's important to balance paid strategies with organic growth methods for long-term success.

However you can grow organically but it will take time so i have my self bought the services from bumplikes which helped me getting my business grow.
