I’d imagine if it had been skied I would have seen but has anyone heard of this rail. It’s located in Prague, Czech Republic and I estimate it to be right around 300 feet of pure metal. I would love to see someone ski it but don’t know if anyone ever has. I saw it in the city and thought it would be an insane street shot. There’s room to winch in but the outrun kinda puts you into a street although there is a sidewalk.

Not the same rail it turns out but this thread reminded me of the long ass rail [tag=186380]@DanielHanka[/tag] hit on blades in this edit at 3:15, which is probably in Prague.

Such a dope vid and I’m sure Daniel knows about the rail.

as someone who doesn't really ski rails but enjoys watching urban, that looks pretty hittable for a 300 ft street rail

You would be going so fast by the end

sorry what???? WHY??

personal opinions. it's all wiggle arms and hip wobbling the whole way down. no creativity in the spot selection. only really straight slide or like the ugly immediate front swap. just a matter of statistics about hitting it enough times to get to the end. they suck to film and are boring to watch. it just shows balance, it doesn't really exemplify any personal style.

^ just thoughts about long down rails that aren't very steep. steep/kinked rails can be a different story

:/ long rail clips are so underwhelming

Every time I grease a long rail I just get hit with a wave of disappointment upon landing, I’m sure all those who’ve slid street rails of colossal lengths would say the same

Im aware of this rail but I completely forgot about its existence. However, if we get some snow in upcoming season I definitely wanna hit it. Thanks for the heads up! And talking about long rails being underwhelming - I get what you mean by your arguments.. However, not every spot, every trick and every move needs to "showcase your style and visions".. I think you just need to be a masochyst to a certain point, that you're voluntarily willing to torture yourself on such rails. And Im all down for some creative spots and stuff..but somehow long challenge rails feel like a classic. And every time I see some in videos, it always makes me feel good. Its not that easy to find them, and definitely not that easy to clear them. Like for example as you said - you need millions tries, which heavily increases the bust factor. And that's just one of the many things.. So they defnitely get streetcredit in my book.

So satisfying to lock in and slide to the end though for the skier.

i'm sure it feels fucking incredible. still not captivating to watch someone flail for 10 seconds.
