I love the progression of snow sports and how people are really taking things to the next level, but this is just plain ridiculous. They are simply going for the big factor... it is like seeing someone do a straight air out of the pipe 22 ft: you can only see it so many times and be impressed by amplitude only. So the first 10 boarders or so to go off will be astonishing, but after that it is pointless. The risk factor for the viewing return value is horrible. Seriously, if one person accidentally bails it will be many broken things, and possibly a paralysis or death. Is that worth a single photo? Your life? Your ability to walk? I know I am an old man and think far more conservatively than almost all freeriders, but this is plain dangerous and unnecessary. I cannot believe folks at Tremblant passed this idea.
