Inline skating

It helps a lot. The transition from skiing into rollerblading is a lot harder than the transition from rollerblading to skiing. When I first began skiing I thought everything was easy. Shit, landing on a 6 foot platform versue a 1 foot one was heaven. After skiing for a season, and going back to rollerblading, I couldn't land shit. Skiing felt like cheating... and still does.

Ive been skating since i was like 7, thats why i switched from snowboarding to skiing 2 seasons ago. Urban feels so much more natural. Its still a lot different, but i bet it would help with you balance and other fundamentals.

Skates are hella $$. I dont think i wanna spend that much on them but still looks sick. I think it's gonna make a comeback.

rollin kicks ass, i think it helps with skiing. it is harder to land but easyer to do tricks so it works out pretty good for practice.

you should join the aggessive inline cult, if you like blading.

if any1 needs any help send me a pm with your questionn...ive been rolling for the past 4 years now...and can help any1 who needs it...

^Damn surprised to see a thread on this with no hate till got to that ones, nice contribution, long as i have the cash im gonna try to pick it up over the summer, its gotta help keep the feel for skiing over the summer

Rollerwarehouse.com has great deals on stuff for blading. I don't skate half as much as I used to but it's still fun, I do need to invest in some good pads though now that I'm past the quarter century mark. Watch out peoples that concrete is hard shit.

Can anybody provide me with a lil info in what skates are a good deal? For a first timer what type of price range am i looking at for a pair thats not amazing but still good quality and are there any particular brands that are considered to be better than others? Thanks

Just go to rollerwarehouse and poke around, I got trs downtowns which are Rollerblade brand. They aren't the hottest new company but they are tried and true, they'll get the job done and mine cost like 150. I guess you could hunt down a used pair somewhere, actually look here in ski equipment I think I saw some quitters in there selling their blades.

I'm a firm believer that if your not that good you don't need good shit, I used to hate seeing kids who could barely skate with brand new expensive top end shit.

Yah thanks, i'll prob be workin two jobs over the summer so i should be able to afford it, right now resources are running dry as the school year ends, i just dont wana buy something if its shit quality and not gonna last but by no means need the top end stuff

speaking of blading.. anyone want to by some skates? rollerblade trs alphas, size 8.5, only used a few times

ill let them go cheapp

pics upon request

blading helps you rail game soo much. the only ting i dont like about blading is not falling on snow.

It will make your legs wicked strong though, when I was younger and bladed everyday my legs never EVER got tired when I was skiing. Now I'm a little older.

mhmmmmm, i started like a month before ski season and it was fun. i can imagine if you due it consitently yu will get super jacked. its intense

yea I think it helps a ton. Not claim, but one of the superunknown kids Ben faturos skis at the same mountains in my area and he been skiing for like 2-3 seasons and before that he rollerbladed for like 10 years or somethin and hes sick. I think that im going to get a pair of skates this summer

do skates run the same size as shoes or ski boots? And if they do, does anyone on here have a decent pair in 9.5 or 10. My friends that snowboard skate alot, and i am trying to learn it, I can see how it would help with rails.

i bought mine the same pair as my shoe size. i didnt get fited or anything, just ordered em ofline, and they fit great. but i would recomend you try em on in a store first or something

first of all ur the faggot and second ur obvousily u have never tryed blading and ur not a real skier ive heard it helps ur legs, riding switch, spins, and grinds i love blading second fav thing behind skiing

falling on pavement sucks ass compared to snow, its the only thing i hate about summer sports is that every time you fall you pretty much get hurt

i started rolling this year and its fun not nearly as fun as skiing but something to do . the transition from rails on skis to rails on skates is like no existent but landing on angled landings is so hard and concrete hurts:O a lot more than snow if you can believe it ahah good canadian dealers are d-structure and www.shop-task.com
