Inline skating, dead dead

When did this happen?

Searching to buy my daughter some skates and went down the rabbit hole of looking at aggressive inline. There seems to be like 3 brands left and that’s it. Razor, USD, and another one.

I knew it was dying but to be completely dead I did not see happening. I see more kids rocking scooters then anything else these days.

Went to search up more skate brands and realized that there really are only like 3 big brands aside from those you mentioned

IQON and one more are coming out soon but can't mention much

And there are like a few new developments that some og skaters are trying to get off the ground but who knows

k2, rollerblade, and a few other niche companies definitely still making good product.

COVID hit their supply chain pretty hard, especially with increased demand for bikes/skates/recreational activity

took me almost 6 months to get my pair from rollerblade last spring early pandemic.

I still got my oxygen Argons, problem is vert parks are non existent nowadays. I wish my skiing scene was like my park scene was, I used to go to different parks all over and people were always like it’s that “guy” , felt cool to be the top dawg at something, when I go skiing, which I love sooooo much I’m just another reg dude to most. Man this thread got me thinking about urban skiing that I was never interested in, wall rides n shit, man I miss it

I totally feel this tho. When I'm on blades I'll do one basic ass grind on a box and the kids there think i'm amazing. When I'm with the squad i'm an embarrassment to myself cuz everyone else is doing hurricane topsoul or something

I could never get rid of my argons, wish I had a place to use them, I used to street skate rails and shit a lot but I could only 50/50, my specialty was always big ballsy airs, wall rides, steps 3s, and 5s shit nowadays I couldn’t imagine that, ramps r hard mmmkay
