Injured, now what?

i broke my toe on my friends coffee table while partying and now I can't put on a ski boot (holy fuck did it hurt to do up that last buckle). What can I do in the meantime while this heals....

And to think I was about to get rail slides and 3s on lock after 5 years.

I skied with two broken metatarsals for four months last year. You can ski with a broken toe.

dude i had over 7 broken bones in my foot. it's really not that hard.

but, if OP can't ski, dependent on where OP lives he has limited options. He can take up reading and let it heal, try not to put it tin too tight of shoes (obviously) but don't stay off it too long, else it goes stiff.

I really was just disagreeing with you just cus you were toolin in the other thread.

Cheers m9

I guess one of the things I did when I was recovering from said injury was learning a new little skill every week.

Learn to knit a hat, how to cook a bomb ass meal, something that occupies you but isn't high stress to your toe.

Same goals, 2 broken arms. I was sliding a urban style rail for the first time and it was super stickybso i lost my balance and fell forward onto my back. Rails are cool but are super risky. I only did it to say i can slide a rail and the girl with me told me to grow a pair lol.

Turns out I have a partial tear in my labrum from when I dislocated my shoulder earlier this week. Doctor said it might heal on it's own but it might not and then I'll need surgery. Or else it will keep popping out in lower impacts.

I don't know what to do. Like I know what I "should" do, and that's stay out for 6-8 weeks like he said. But like... I don't want to do that. Like you don't need a shoulder to ski, right?. I don't want it to end my season but if I do what they say then it's going to. Fuck.

What do I do? Has anyone hurt their shoulder and skied anyways? Really fucking bummed about it and I don't want a stupid fall to be the end of my season.):

As much as it probably sucks, it's probably better to just sit it out. Obviously it's gonna suck fucking ass, but it's better to be out 6-8 weeks now, then really fucking up your shoulder on a simple fall that could affect you for years.

Well you could

A.) take the time off..recover 100% and spend the summer in hood to make up for the lost time

Or

B.) dont take time off, fall and fuck yourself again and limit your ability to do shit in not only skiing but a lot of other things later in life

Id take route a

I hate you both for being right.

I'm so fucking pissed. I set my schedule up perfectly to ski 5 times a week this semester and only took 12 credits. Now I can't even fucking ski and it's all a waste. Fuck this. This is so fucking lame. I quit my job to ski this winter and I've got a whopping 15 days in. Fucking cool. What a fucking waste of time.

As soon as your done recovering send it up to hood to get back what you missed. No worries. You'll probably be cleared to ski soon and just take it easy. I just wouldnt risk fucking it up more than it already is. The people ik with shoulder issues make it sound like its miserable. Its worth it to take your time with shit. You'll be fine. im sure you'll be good by loon. Dont sweat it mingg you'll be ight.

Don't fall. Just tell people to fuck off if they pressure you to hit something. Gotta just embrace being on snow, riding the lift, and easy shredding. Basically act like you are over 60 and spend a little longer wrapping your shoulder rest of the year and you can make it through till spring. Bottle all the gnarly shit up for next season and when it comes around go ham.

Oh and Minggg act like you are driving on a super suspended license when you ski and any pull over (fall) means jail and with that mindset you'll be all good.

I mean no matter how much trouble you are in if you drive your still gonna get in your car and go over a hotties house for a late night booty call instead of jerking it or walkin 30 mins amirite?

Man, that sucks, atleast it isnt a mad serious injury.

When I broke my collarbone, NS man, eat sleep and breath NS.

haha, but best of luck man, hope you heal well!
