Inglorious Basterds

I'm pissed that someone could be so ignorant as to write such a fucking stupid movie. I've seen what the other side has done to people, and have heard amazingly horrific stories about it. Not all Germans were like that, so for them to go in, and say kill the Germans/ Nazi's, well, it just makes me sad that some people are so stupid.

I realize it's a movie and all, but I really don't think it's neccessary to have a movie like this.
 
that would be a good movie if it weren't all about brutally killing germans to a heavy metal soundtrack, the storyline looks like it could be decent but i'm sure it'll turn into something totally retarded
 
well see, what's ignorant is your embarrassing attempt to play the all knowing, humanitarian of Newschoolers. Guess who it's directed by, big guy, Tarantino! Don't get your panties in a bunch, it's supposed to be a fucking gorefest
 
I'm not attempting to do anything, small guy, I was just simply stating my opinion on why I doubt I'll bother watching this movie. A smart ass response was really not required by you, all ignorant, instigator of newschoolers. I don't care who it's directed by. Just because it's directed by someone that has been known for his gory movies, that doesn't make anything he does right and worth me watching, or some one with the same feeling as I have.

By the way, I'm not wearing any pants.
 
i dont think he was talking about the gore though, he was talking about the way that everyone in the states seems to think that every member of the german war machine of WWII willingly became a member of the german army and was a nazi. you sir, need to read.
 
I think it looks sick. As someone else said, it's Tarantino. I'm just gonna go to see a shit ton of blood, I don't care about the plot very much.
 
Where in that trailer does it say that all Germans are nazis? It says the nazis were German, which they were. Just because you're great-aunt was 1/4 German doesn't mean you need to get all offended about an anti-nazi movie. This is based on a true story, by the way. Its good to watch a movie with the mindset of the time period, not a historical eye.
 
It doesn't say that all Germans were Nazi's, but it definitely implies it. Most Nazi soldiers didn't want to participate, but they were forced to by threats made to them and their families that if they didn't go to war, them and their families would be shot. That's just all I'm trying to point out. Not all German's wanted to be Nazi's, but were forced to be. And my great aunt is still in Germany, but my Oma, Opa, and two uncles fled after the war was over, and then my Mom was born. Some of the stories my Oma tells are amazing, but she hated the Nazi's just as much as anyone else.
