Inexpensive accommodations within Breckenridge? Advice required!

I'm planning a trip to Breckenridge with my buddy. Looking for some advice on accommodations located within Breckenridge. We're looking for something that is fairly inexpensive, but at the same time something that is located close to any of the lifts, preferably peak 9. I have been to Breck once before, but a couple years ago. We're planning on going for approximately 9 days from February 12th - 22th. Cheap, but close to the hill/within Breckenridge. Thanks for any advice!

If you're gonna have a car, just stay in frisco or one of the surrounding towns, like 5-15 mins away and stay at some cheap hotel there, days in is like 50 a night or something for two beds.

Sorry, I meant peak 8. To eheath's response, the only option for having a car, would be rental, which might be more expensive, and I'm 18 years old. Not sure what the minimum age for car rentals is in Colorado. Does anyone know if there are daily shuttles from Frisco to Breckenridge?

there's a free bus from frisco that takes you right to the gondola. search summit stage on google. silverthorne/dillon also has cheap lodging and is closer to keystone, but to get to breck you'd have to transfer buses.

This...And can you be 18 and get a hotel room. If you dont have a ride then I will go out of my way to pick a fellow NS'r up. cant promise that ill be there everyday. Just PM if you need a ride from your hotel cause the free bus can be bitch sometimes.

go to the high rockies craigslist. there's a hostel-type kinda place in silverthorne i believe, and the summit stage runs all over the place. if you're 18 you're not going to be able to rent a car.
