Indoor wall ski rack?

so i just moved into a 1 br apartment here in boulder and am a little cramped for space and the only way to keep my skis/poles out of the way is to hang them on a wall behind the front door.

so my question is- who has one of these, where did you get it, and if there is any specific brand or design i should look for? it needs to be able to fit at least 4 pairs of skis, if not more

build one?

You could probably make one for super cheap, just put some pegs in a board and then hang the board on the door with hooks.

get a 2x4 and drill some oak (make sure they're oak)dowels into them.

drill hole insert wood with glue

???

profit.

just make sure you lay everything out first because of spacing issues with bindings.

fail. i've already spent too much time painting the whole inside of this place to be bothered to build a rack myself. i'd rather spend $50 and be done with it

if you hang your skis from the tips it will bend them and increase the possibility of delam. lay them horizontally instead

i can't think of anyone who stores their skis by laying them horizontally. and if i'm asking about a wall rack to hang my skis from then i obviously don't have anywhere else to put them, let alone lay them on the floor hahahah

Just hammer in some thin nails or panel pins into the wall spaced the right width apart. Like for a pair of 180 skis that has a 120/100/120 sidecut you'd have two pairs of nails about 180cm high with each pair 115mm apart (probably will need a little experimenting to get it just right). Then just hook the skis onto the wall individually. Would be perfect for behind a door.
