Indoor Skiing

My dad really like the idea of indoor skiing in the US. That would be so sick if it was just one big park. Would anyone drive to session it

 
hahahaha...that would be totally sick, just chill indoors and have a ton of music pumping and like concession stands and wet tee shirt contests and....oh man I kinda went on there

 
ya id drive, but it would have to be pretty expensive to build and dont know how much i \wouold pay to session it

that would be ill though....

yeh i remember that place they were going to hve like a skate park and all types of stuff in there too. I would be willing to drive far in summer and stuff but since the hill wouldnt be to big it would probrably be packed. still an awesome idea

I thought there was supposed to be a HUGE mall built in North Toronto with an indoor ski hill in it. What ever happened to that?

The Toronto one?

People who lived in the area thought it would make the area too busy and loud and crap, so it was rejected. It was going to be at what used to be the old airforce base... Downsview I think.

 
theres an artificial one in the UK, not indoors but carpeted and kinda compact, you could fit it indoors

isnt there an indoor one in japan? i want to go there they sound so hardcore like big on sking and stuff cause in that article about the phils in skier mag they say there was an entire building that they were painted on and stuff in tokyo sounbds sick and lots of snow

Ya it was going to be at the Downsview airforce base. It would be great because you could take the TTC right to it!

yah, that'd be so sick. I've been to a dry ski slope made of this weird plastic stuff, it was pretty gay though, had potential, but not really big enough, ah well, all good.

that would b cool but i dont think that it would b as big as a reg terran park so i would go to the hill instead but i would check it out once or twice

 
i wish they would build one here on the east coast...toronto is too far away from where people live

It is unfortunate when everything seems to be going really good and the girl uses a word like 'dont', or 'stop'. If she learned to use these two words in unison, everyone would be much happier.
 
yeah that sprite arena is an outdoor plastic slope, its pretty sick its evn got a drop off, but it hurts like a mofo if you fall, in england theres two indoor ski hills, but there pretty small and they both have like one or two jumps and maybye the odd rail, they really desogned for people to learn and practice on before going on holiday, if they made a full park one witha proper chair that would be dope

I was thinking that you could make alot of money doing that, just build a hill out of wood and scaffolding in a big old hockey arena which would already be cold enough and then just buy snowmakers and make snow on the hill and install a t-bar and charge people 10 bucks to get in.

D: I don't know the exact way to freeze that snow but there was -9 degrees celsius in that room. The pipe was also pretty damn icy but actually it doesn't matter ;)

 
they have a shit load of em in japan....they were supposed to build one here in ct with 2 trails, a half pipe, and a a park, but i don think it went thru. they were supposed to have like a big mall around it and a water park and stuff, i wish it did.

the gotcha glacier in socal got postponed for awile. if they do build it, mammoth is gonna run it so there will be a good park. its gonna be a huge ass building, and half of it will be park and pipe. underneath the ski run, there are gonna be a water park, mini golf, skate park and a bunch of other shiznit

i heard the one in san diego they were building was pretty much just a indoor halfpipe (for snowborders) and a huge mall, they need to build one in detroit or something though for my summer blues

i heard about that one in CT and yea it fell apart.

someone will build one when theres enough wannabes in our sport to attract more attention

I just made a half pipe and 5 kickers in my yard. thehalf pipe has 10 foot walls and is 100 feet long it isnt bad considering took snow from all over in a dump truck. (skating rinks-parking lots) we dont get that much snow here in massachusetts.

at least u get snow where u live. In the summer we take out the old old salomon's reall old and get towd down the street. Then the Popo shows up
