i keep heering about indepent ski companys, what exactly is an indepent ski company?

indie is a name given to start up companies that are not supplied or supported in anyway by the more established corporations, i.e. K2, Salomon, Rossignol, Atomic, etc.

it has the same conotation in regards to an indie band, or garage band -- someone doing it on their own, basically.

i hate ny would be one. so would sic films. they are companies which arent owned or arent in with the pbp and msp croud

A true independent ski company is a company started completely on its own with out outside funding.
