I think that peoples names INSIDE the threads should be different depending on sex. this way we can tell more about the people and sometimes misunderstandings become clear this way. I know its pink for girls and blue for guys on the left bar but it would be better if it was like that in the forum.s

^ You cannot speak for every girl on this site. I have seen it many times where people have gotten confused on a persons statement because we thought it was a guy. Even the girl herself says it's frustrating because everyone thinks she is a guy.

Anyways I think it's a good idea, I remember there was a thread a few weeks ago where there was a girl who's name wasn't obviously a girls name like 'skierchick', so everyone basically thought she was a guy, and she was getting annoyed by it. even her name on the left was pink, but it didn't help, so yea having pink names in forum would be a good idea.

Hahahaha, obviously you don't realize how many ridiculous and annoying messages some of the females on here get. That's one of the main reasons why I haven't asked one of the admins to change my name to pink. Anyway, I'm not trying to start shit or anything, I'm just saying that it's worse than you may think.

On the original subject, I think that gender identification in forums (if this is carried out) should be OPTIONAL, not automatic. They do something similar with the profiles on Freeskiing.com, and I hated the fact that because I'm a female my name is automatically pink. Why the fuck must pink always be assosciated with females? My favorite color is blue. I've always been a tomboy and hated pink. You see more and more males these days who love the color pink. Furthermore, (like previously stated), it'd be easier for females to be singled out and harassed. I'm not saying that doesn't work both ways, but because of the male to female ratio on this site, it's generally individual females who get singled out.

My suggestion: if anything like this DOES end up happening in the forums, I think it should run parallel to the colors of your name as displayed on the Online list. If you have a pink name over there, then your name is pink in the forums. If you don't want your name pink, then so-be-it.

i started reading this thread and quickly lost interest when i was stuck reading the most retarded e-fight i have seen in a while. thus kind of proving the problems that the pink/blue names would present. i don't think that having seperate color forum names would inmporve anything because if you are an active member of the site and kind of keep track of the other members, you usually know who's a girl and who's a guy, the rest of the people would just take advantage of it just like tehy do with the pink names on the member list.
