anyone have an old pair of demo skis/ marker bindings that they're not using that they don't mind cannibalizing?

I'm really looking just for the demo mounting plate for the toe piece, but it probably wouldn't hurt to get the toe piece as well.

first day out fucking around on my thriftstore Liberty Genomes this last weekend at June mountain and I managed to snap the toe piece off of one ski on a firm landing. Serves me right for not having the things looked at by a tech prior to trying to use them. I'm keeping an eye out for some cheap 140-150mm bindings to replace the demo bindings with, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask and see if anyone had anything just taking up space in their garages.

Red or Black in 150mm for $140 CAD roughly $110 USD. Not bad for this time of year. What three months and you may save $15. On a new binding worth skiing that's probably the best you'll do?

good find- i'll definitely consider those!

ended up coming out to 104.03 with free shipping. thanks so much for the recommendation!

I'm such a tinkerer, I always want to be able to fix some existing part, But I know i'm better off getting something new. I'd be likely to blow the toe piece off the other ski as soon as I fixed the first one.

thanks dude.

Quick update:

I did end up taking the old bindings off and remounting with those attacks, and I’m so fucking glad I did.

They had been mounted twice prior to me pulling the toe piece off.

Previous mounts, (as you can see), slightly overlapped holes, so I’m lucky all I pulled off the ski was a toe piece. In order to have about 1cm distance from the center of each hole to the new holes, I had to pull the mount back to liberty recommended, so I’m sure they’ll actually end up riding a bit more the way they were designed to.

for those who are tentative about mounting on their own, it’s not that hard. Just measure, check, measure, measure again, then go for it. I don’t think there are many mounting jigs wide enough for this ski anyways
