on saturday, my friend had a party and they got a complaint. my town is super safe and nothing ever happens so the cops are always really bored. Like 12 cop cars show up from 3 different towns, bust in the door w/ out knocking or anything, bust up the party, kick the girl who was hosting till she was on the ground, drag my friend out of his car as he was leaving and hold a shot gun to his head, and make him sit and wait on the corner to be arrested untill they're done with all the kids inside. After they finished kicking myu friend, they basically told everyone watching that they "didn't see anything" and went to try to get more kids who were leaving in trouble. A bunch of the kids are pressing charges cuz like 4 people were arrested who all happened to still be sober but were harrassed and in some cases even hit or kicked. The party had barely even started so most people were still sober and everything. But cops from 3 different towns and police brutality for some teenagers being a little loud??? What's up with that?
 
definately wrong. im glad the kids are pressing charges cause the cops are outwitnessed probably 5:1. someone should have said "im not gona just stand here and say i didnt see anything. your going to stand in court for this whether you like it or not. if you wanna be even more of a dick arrest me for telling and we'll see how much contraversy arises under your name"
 
what i would do in that situation: sit on the roof throwing waterballoons and shooting paintballs at them.
 
shit like that happened at my friends house a couple of years ago. sheriffs busted in and beat the hell out of my friend. he got whacked with a billy club on the back of the head. he was unconscious for like 3 hours or something crazy. fucking cops and their power trips. makes me sooooo angry.
 
well, aparently, one kid was throwing stuff at cars from the roof but that doesn't call for an entire police force plus police from two other towns.

plus, i don't know why nobody stood up, i think they were just too scared w/ all the beating of kids going on. if i was there i deff. would have said something though. i have almost too much disregard for saying stuff like that.
 
smart move. they would probably retreat, since water balloons and paintballs are more powerful than real guns.

I would get a great fucken lawyer, I would talk to the neighbourhood and other kids at other school in your town and see if anyone has similar situations they have been in with some sort of evidence. hospital report on a concusion, bruises and friends/witnesses and I would shoot for a class action lawsuit on your town police department. if there are some cops in your town on a power trip a civil class action lawsuit would def. put enoug pressure on the police department to fire them and really change how the police treat young public.
 
thats pretty much what happens in my town but its ore chill than that in terms of what the cops do. But its good they should press charges. idk if i wouldve said anything if i was there but the kids that got hit could definitely get some money out of this.
 
i got harassed and arrested for talking on a cell phone while driving, i was in a abd neighborhood and "looked rich" so they pulled me over thinkin i was in the hood to score some chronic, the cops threw me around a bit. my boss happens to have a lot of pull with the city, he used to be mayor and is very good friends with the head of the police dpt. and this boss happens to be like a father to all his employees, since its a summer camp and we stay all summer as counselors. well story short, those tickets never existed, the arrest never happened, and those cops are now security guards at the mall.
 
i'm sorry but in a way thats sort of unbelievable. that would be ALL over the media if you they pressed charges. that had to be some motivation by some punk kids at the party for cops to do that. the cops could bust in because they probably had a warrant. even if they didn't, loud kids and possible underage drink and disturbing the peace is a great and legiment thing for a warrant. i'm speechless and i don't know where to start. where did this happen. give me some newspaper articles, something
 
Hopefully there were some black kids who got the shit kicked out of them for no reason, because that would build a much bigger case, and you could turn it into a hate crime/police brutality and get more money out of the towns police system.
 
Eh we have busts like that around here with a bunch of cops comming from surrounding towns like the one that just happened the other weekend where the cops found out about the party because one of the kids stopped by and asked for directions at the police station...
 
thats probably just a rumor how would the kid be that stupid. who told you that was the reason why? its someone covering up the truth
 
a cop woke my friend up with a maglight to the chest and called it a "sturnum bump" he had bruises and everything and it didn't hold up in court.
 
well, for one, i'm friends with the girl who hosted the party. she's the one that got kicked to the ground. plus, i live in a really high class suburban town near san francisco where nothing ever happens and we have way too many cops for too little crime so they get bored. for example, last year, there was a drunk homeless man biking down the street and three cop cars showed up w/ 4 cops too handle the guy when he willingly cooperated w/ them. how/why would someone I'm good friends with make up such a story? i'd know if they were lying, especially since everyone has the same story to tell.
 
cops start getting violent cause they dont know what to expect, yes even at a high school party. even though cops shouldnt hit people, suck it up dont be a pussy.

unfortunately, this happens all the time. The problem when pressing charges is that the courts have a funny tendency to believe the cops.

Two of my friends were at a party that got physically broken up last year. Two officers showed up at the house responding to a noise complaint and were told they couldn't enter private property without a warrant.

So they got a warrant and several more officers, came back later that night and started beating on people. Several people were injured, one of my friends was pulled out the window of his car as he tried to leave the party and just dislocated his shoulder. The other got knocked around a bit while he was trying to keep himself between a cop and his girlfriend as they left.

Six people ended up in the hospital. When a few people pressed charges, the courts saw things the cops' way. It was on the local news one night, but apparently excessive police force isn't uncommon enough for the media to really care.
 
people could strecth the truth too but whatever. chris420 got the right idea too.

all i'm saying is just respect cops in general
