Importance of having an all weather camera bag?

So I'm checking out lowepro camera bags and I wanted to know whether an all weather camera bag makes that much of a difference becase for an all weather model i'd be looking at paying like 100$ more.

...most camera bags come with decent weather protection, i just bought a lowpro backpack/camera bag/ laptop bag and it works great. So the really weatherized ones do work but just extra money. Also higher end model cameras are weather sealed, which helps a bunch as well, although may not be in your price range

The way I would look at it, what is your camera and all your gear worth? 10Gs? Personally with that much money I think it would be worth the extra insurance to have a all weather bag. I guess it depends on the cash flow, but if I was going to buy a bag priced that much, I would want to buy it once, and not regret it later, or have water leak in...
