Impact Clothing?

I was thinking about getting one of these to protect my back due to I had back problems last year and it put me out for a few weeks so anyone ever wear one? Do they limit motion alot? Anyone try other types of protection clothing?

i have used impact shorts and they save you a lot, i am definatley glad i own them but as far as the back thing goes i have never used one
