Our school jazz band (Twin Falls Middle School), just took 3rd in the Bellevue Jazz Festival. All of the best bands in state were there. We're a new school, so this is a first year band. It surprised me. I play lead trumpet.
 
props mang. garfield high school (seattle, where i go) just took first in the reno jazz fest

garfield and washington middle school (the middle school that leads to ghs) both have AMAZING jazz progams. it's pretty filthy
 
washington is really good. I've never heard Garfield play, but props for taking the win. Ecstein Middle School took the win at Bellevue. They feed into Roosevelt High. The soloists for Ecstein are incredible.
 
i had a bass solo in my middle school jazz band festival. I don't think we did too well though but it was four years ago so I don't really remember.
Oh yeah congrats!
