Agreed. If you want to chop off body parts, you need to do it in the appropriate places. Your portrait shot (what is it called in filming) is okay, where you chopped off the top of his head. But certain places on the body throw everything off. Like where the skier hits something and his whole head is chopped off. Places like neck, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles etc, are not places to make that crop. If you do it, it has to be done perfectly and with purpose, otherwise your subject looks like an amputee.
Also, the irregularity with audio was throwing me off. Keep it consistent through the whole edit. And one last thing, this new crop cinemascope or whatever it is, yeah it looks nice but I don't feel like it worked for this edit.
