"I'm not dead yet" -Wolf Creek

I was driving to Denver from Pagosa Springs on Friday, and for the first time in a month or so I went over Wolf Creek Pass. I came to the realization that I could get a run in if I put the work into it. So I hiked up to the top of Alberta Peak. Here are a few pics of the extremely underrated Southern San Juans.

Compared to the rest of the state yes, in general no. I have only been here for a few months now. All the locals are telling me about how terrible it has been and will be. Most of our water comes from snow melts. We are already having issues with wildfires in pagosa. The San Juan river is already slowing down, humming birds showed up a month early, there isn't enough alfalfa for the horses, we may have a water crisis come september, and produce will be VERY expensive. I hope next winter is better :/
