Karma is like a rating system. Members can give you karma and you build up karma every night. The more content you upload such as videos and pictures will earn you more karma. But if you're going to a dick at all people can lower your karma.

That has something to do with it. Karma actually basically calculates everything you do on the site. So creating content, sharing content, adding remote news, getting views on your content, etc. - All of these things help it go up.

Generally the best thing to do is to be a solid contributor to the site. People will give you karma, you'll get karma for making stuff and you'll get karma for your stuff getting lots of upvotes and views.
