My brother recently moved just south of Buffalo. His wife just had a baby and he bought me a plane ticket to visit him and see his new baby girl.

I know there are a bunch of NSers in that area and I was hoping you guys could either give me some ideas to do while hes busy or maybe someone wants to hangout or somethin.

Im flying in on the 24th and leave the 26th. I will be using one of his cars to get around.

thanks NS

Highly recommend checking out the following. You will notice that most of these are places to eat or drink (this is kind of what Buffalo is all about).

-Niagara Falls (Obvious but still really cool if you have never seen it)

-Pearl Street Bar & Grill (Fun restaurant/bar downtown with some really good beer made in house)

-Barbill Tavern in East Aurora (Best Wings in Buffalo)

-Sabres Tickets are fucking dirt cheap right now if you want to catch a hockey game (around $40 for upper level, still solid seats).

-Ellicottville if you are near it, fun mini ski town with tons of restaurants, bars (I recommend EBC), and shops.

Yup.

Also, if you're looking to ski I'd say Holiday Valley or Kissing Bridge would be your best bet! Holiday is the biggest hill around here and has the best terrain I guess you could say. KB is a bit closer though. Just depends on what you wanna do!

^^ Knows what's good, Barbill tavern for wings. And East Aurora is chill as shit. Check out Vidlers 5&dime.

Buffalo is the asshole of new york. The south towns are nice and a sabres game would be cool but it's a really shitty city. Lots of crime and not that pleasant of a place. I'd never live there and i avoid going to buffalo at all costs.

fuck bflo.

That being said. Just go to a nice place for dinner and sabres game. That's about it.

If you like Italian food I'd recommend Illio DiPoalo's in Blasdell, Mulberry's in Lackawanna, or the Dove in Lackawanna. For Mexican I'd say Cinco De Mayo in Orchard Park If you want wings, the anchor bar or duffs are both really good. Seabar is great for seafood too. Fuji Grill in Orchard Park has some really good sushi. Or like android said, Pearl Street and Ellicottville Brewing Company are really good too(:

Park sucks

Actually the fidler's set up was pretty cool last time I was at holiday. You just can't ride it at night because it gets icy and beat to fuck. During the day it's nice tho. And there's a lot more set up at holiday than peek and kb(;

Nah last year that shit was nice

Not a fan of foxfire. Parks are odd and the flow of everythings weird. The park to the left of foxfire looking up hill was cool. But peek has way better built stuff. Just my opinion tho.

That being said. I need to get up yo holiday for s pow day. Thatd be sick

Go to canal side! It's so pretty there! I've been trying to get there this year since they opened but haven't had anyone to go with. You should definitely go there tho!

It's like an outdoor ice rink downtown by the buffalo river(I think). It's really cool! And actually I'll be moving back in to my dorm that weekend, which is pretty close to the rink. I'd be happy to hang out for a bit and show you around!

lol...it sounds like you might not even know where youre going. Some of the most fun times ive had are when ive been kinda lost with someone.

Buffalo is not a fucking war zone like it's made out to be. It's a little sketchy, but not like everyone is describing it. I've lived very close to the city my whole life and these things are probably the best Buffalo has to offer.

1. Anchor Bar or Duffs (they're both fucking awesome).

2. Go to a Sabres game, it's cheap and fun.

3. Chippewa street has all the bars and clubs, not sure if that's your scene but it's cool.

4. Go check out the harbor center, the 716 Bar and Grill is apparently pretty nice, I haven't been there though.

5. Niagara Falls is a given, it's impressive.

So ya, not a war zone but it's a shithole. Have fun!

Helium comedy club in Buffalo! If you somehow can get to a show on the 24th,

Joey Diaz is performing and he's fucking hysterical. Helium is supposed to be one of the best comedy clubs in America..

Haven't read any responses, but go to the harbor center/(716) bar for a fun time while a hockey game/ sporting event is on. Also near the harborcenter is a huge outdoor ice rink. Never been there but I've heard it's sick.

Go to Elmwood if you go out, fuck the clubs and Chippewa.

Hamburg brewing company is awesome for some good beer.
