Im going to germany tomorrow.

I'm living here now, if you have any exact questions, PM me. If youre just looking for advice without really any questions, let me sit on this, and post when I wake up tomorrow.

make sure your car doesnt break down in the woods. you may be sewn to another persons ass.

eat a ton of food and dont be afraid to eat new things.

drive really fast.

depending how long you are staying/where you are in germany - take a trip to Maastricht netherlands, I enjoyed it. or even a trip into belgium to get yourself a waffle or a good brew.

...there are many beers, and that is one thing to do, there are so many different types its ridiculous, Along with quite a few shots of liquor last night I had 3 or 4 beers, all of which were different brands. Also there is "pussy beer" that you can try, not what you want if you want to get slammed, but a nice fruity taste depending on the type with a little kick of alcohol, maybe 3% or so.

I found the perfect attire.

Germany is so much fun. If you're near Munich you have to go to the Hofbrauhaus (although I'm sure you've been told that) When I was last in Europe I spent most of my time in Austria, but I was in Munich, a little town called Prien, and Hohenschwangau for a while.

Anyway yeah like everyone said drink a lot of beer, go to beer gardens, and don't forget to balance time between being in the city and being in the country, because the scenery is fucking amazing.

Also, if you'd like to see something historical, maybe you could see if you could go to Hitler's Nest (Berchtesgaden), I wanted to go but couldn't.

Oh yeah, another thing you could see is the Neuschschwanstein castle in Hohenschwangau. It's pretty famous and the town is pretty nice too.

Have fun. And really don't forget to drink a lot of beer.

Berlin? Munich? Frankfurt? Dusseldorf? Freiberg? Hamburg? Where ya going? Germany is a decent sized country with a lot of different areas. Basically, it's 1/4th of the US population packed into an area the size of New Mexico. There is a TON of stuff to do, so giving cities would help.

I went to some in germany that had special 16 y.o nights.

But to op, it might not be a bad idea to cop a id that says you're 18 here in the u.s. Honestly as long as its laminated and doesnt look like it was done by a 5 year old you should be alright, its not like they're gonna scan it and they dont know what a real i.d looks like.

Exactly. This is the foreigner bonus. Nobody will double check your US ID. In Bavaria you only have to be 16 to buy and drink beer. On the other side you are in Hannover which is in Niedersachsen so i think the drinking age might be 18 there.

How long are you going to stay in Germany? You could also ask Smuffy (hes on my friendslist) He spent last year in Germany and we became pretty good friends. I think there was a thread about it a while ago. He might have some good information because he did a lot of travelling. I think he visited Kopenhagen and Berlin etc. Try to hit him up!

I was fucked up last night cheese and crackers. But i had no problem getting into the clubs. Whats the best beer? Ive been drinking a lot of becks

Becks? Are you serious? You can get that in the States aswell. Go grab some Augustiner or Löwenbräu or some good bavarian beer. How long you gonna be around?

sweet country, drink a ton of beer, drive a car really fast, be on time for everything, and definitely check out East Berlin
