Im calling you out NS

hey guys, i wanna say a few things.

first off, i am canadian and i have nothing against the US for the most part. i would like to make a few points though.

I do not support the war in iraq. i think that this war is completely based on oil and the aquisition of it from iran. please hear me out if you disagree. it all started with 9/11. this catastrophic event was horrible and i strongly believe that those responsible should suffer and be brought to justice. so after 9/11 the push was on to find bin laden and his supporters and bring them to justice. off to afghanistan we go. a lot of time is spent looking for bin laden and bringing down him and his supporters. then one day BANG! bin laden is old news.... Sadam has WMD's we have to kill that motha fucka. all of a sudden no one cares about bin laden, or whatever his name was, Sadam is our mortal enemy. (when is the last time you even heard the name bin laden on the news??) anyways, we get Sadam (and no WMD's are found)..mission accomplished right? not yet, we have to help iraq get back on its feet after losing its government basically. i totally agree that this was necessary, a nation that loses their only leader so suddenly should be helped out to get going again. shouldnt this involve more than ass raping iraqi's with .50 cals though? i mean come on, what sort of restructuring of government has even been attempted over there? i know with all of the fighting going on between different islamic groups isnt making any of that easy but still, theyre all mostly pissed /c the US is ocuppying their country and taking a very "shoot first ask questions later" approach. I know i might get a lot of "hell yea we are, b/c we're america, we can do that, its our duty" please don't even waste ur time posting tho. we get it, ur powerful and in all actuality, yes you have the ability to do these things and have little to no consequence b/c of that power, but does that make it ur duty or right to do so? Now, with every day that the US accupying iraq being a complete failure in my eyes with regards to the original mission (get iraq back on its feet and restructure a government) the question resounds around the world "why in god's name is the US still in there??" i can't answer that question but i know many americans would shout, "THE TERRORISTS!!!" when was the last terrorist attack on US soil by an group that is directly persecutable in the middle east? yes US soldiers are dying every day but if England or some other powerful country had soldiers patrolling New York and shooting all those it deemed enemies, wouldnt you expect backlash? i cannot even begin to justify the iraq war in my mind at all especially when you think of the fact thatwe went in b/c Sadam had nukes apparently and when the US was proven wrong and no weapons of mass destruction were found whatsoever, they didn't pull out immediately. (i know that after capturing sadam there were new problems as mentioned before but seriously, its like getting in a fight with ur friend because you think he fucked ur girlfriend and then after finding out that this never actually happened you kick his ass anyways)

i just think that is really scary whats going on with the US right now. I anyone has read the book 1984 by George Orwell, i ask you to examine the similarities that are present today. People (not all americans but those who aupport the war effort) seem to blindly follow their leaders words. if bin laden is the enemy according to the government the cry heard throughout the land is "kill bin laden" when the government shifted their focus to another target people seemed to forget about bin laden entirely and the newer, eviler target was the only one to have ever existed.

im gonna wrap this up b/c its already damn long and im writing with my right hand in a cast (over rotated backflip lol) but if you read this please share ur thoughts.

first sentance should say iraq*

also do you notice all of the news stories focusing on how all the weapons they find are made in Iran? generating a public mentality that moving into Iran next is acceptable anyone?

Yes, I do love our freedoms, our rights, our education, and everything else that we have better than so many other third world countries. But our regime is fucking things up, and are influencing lots of other countries with their countless errors. I like our country, but fuck our government.
