Im a lodge rat

lodge to get my shit ready and take a pissthen i skithen lunch at the lodgethen skithen lodge to pack up and go

the lodge of bear creek consists of slutty 7th graders and really rich families who stay in the hotel. i make ttry and stay out of the lodge as much as possible.

Yo man I know what your saying, I usually go hard all day, but once the lifts stop spinning we chill for a few hours, mostly we get shit tons of free food and chat with all the old rippers who are mostly smashed

Ive written this about three times thinking what Im gonna say. In reality though I dont agree with the OP's view on sitting in the lodge for so long I do understand. This is saying he is coming from where Im coming from ( that being having a very close local hill ). My daily week during the winter would consist of me going prob three times during the week for some late afternoon/night skiing/ then on weekend for some early morning skiing. My local hill is a fifteen minute drive from my house. It is just as much a place to go and hang with friends as it to ski. It is like my second home. I mostly will be skiing while Im there but some days Ill be tired from a long day at school or really just dont feel like skiing and will ski for two hours then sit in the lodge for an hour and talk with friends then go back out for another two hours. I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to have somewhere to ski with a kick ass park twenty minutes away. I just moved here two years ago so this is a fairly new pleasure. I love it, I used to live about two hours from here. When I would make my trips up to the mountain I would ski all day, spend roughly ten minutes max eating and then only stop when I had too. I like to relax and not just try and see how many runs I can get in a day. There are days at my local hill where I will lap over and over and over and not stop once to break but I just cant do that everyday.

hahaha i love it when theres like a million kids on shaun white snowboarding yelling and screaming when they land a trick. i came in during a massive pow day in late february to get all of the powder out of my jacket and stuff and walked in to see them all having a good ol time in their pajamas playing xbox.

I am the same, I feel like eating lunch while at the ski resort is a waste of time but I end up eating cause of my friends..

The only time I go into the lodge is if I'm facing the threat of sever frostbite, I get hurt, or I have to poo so bad that it's hurting how well I ski.
Sometimes at alta I'll stop in to get 2 dollar french fries after a long morning of pow before we do slack country. That's never bad.

this season i had the worst hang over of my life on opening day at kicking horse and only did 3 runs..and they were all green.

the only time im in the lodge is when i drop my lunch off in it on the first run and eating lunch. if i need to go to the bathroom, i just go in the woods. me and my fiends ski pretty much all day except for lunch.

Why would you waste your time in the lodge when you could be skiing?

skiing>lodge

for me it really depends on the day. some days i'll ski non stop from 8:30-4, other days i'll spend up to 3 hours in the lodge if its real shitty conditions. so yeah i guess im a lodge rat somedays.

i hate when people want to go in the lodge. lodge is for eating for like 10 minutes, then back to the hill

my friends girlfriend went skiing in japan with her family for a couple of weeks last summer (and she owns a flat at our local mountain). while i was with my mate he got a call from her saying that she wanted to come back early just to see him and didn't want to go skiing. she actually started crying about it.

this pissed me off so much being stuck in the middle of summer and her complaining about having to ski.
