What area's can we ski and not get harassed by the copsuniversity property?national forest?state land?state forest?
does anybody know the rules, please tell me

if you don't go to the university, they can and will call the actual police depending on where you are. for urban at the school i went to, townies would get charged with trespassing and destruction of property or some shit, and all we got as students was a slap on the wrist.

It's legal to ski in a national forest. My resort leases the land from the National Forest service. You are fucking confusing me, the title says "Illegal Places to Ski." The you ask where we can ski without getting harassed by the cops. They will get you for being on university property, they can't stop you from skiing wherever you want in a national forest, or anywhere in the mountains, unless it's private property. As far as a national park goes, I think you can ski wherever you want in a national park too. In Yosemite there is a real small ski area called Badger Pass. State forest is the same as a national forest. As long as you are not camping illegally, littering, messing up the natural environment, they can only recommend not skiing in a certain area, otherwise you can do whatever the fuck you want. My friends and I always chill on top of a big ass rock next to the highway and the sheriff can't tell us to get down, he can only tell us to be careful and not throw shit on the highway or at cars.

Sorry I repeated so much shit. I'm kind of tired, haha.

Thanks guys, and i figured if i called it legal places to ski not as many people would look at it and it is really closely related

military base rifle range, they fire weapons over a river in to the side of this hill for years, creating this straight down run with crazy land features. ive been waiting for the right snow fall, to hike a mile through the woods for one drop and a run throught the river to get out of the base. sound sketchy?

i also want to drop retaining walls at the mall. that never goes over well.

I think he was making a joke about the efficiency of the US CONgress. But you never know, maybe that was a legitimate question.

at the college in my town (steamboat) they have urban set up for you. and they also have many, many handrails. their only policy is that they make you clean up your own blood cause they have cheese grater stairs.

I live in Banff National Park and I have never had problems skiing Back Country here. There are some restrictions around this time on certain places. Only to save the vegetation when the snow pack is not really there but other then that go crazy.

I only get in trouble for skiing on Company property (Fairmont frowns upon us skiing in their parking lots)

I would do Urban Stuff, but i want to be careful. If your skateboarding street stuff you just run like hell if you see security or cops, but when you have skis, or a snowboard, lights, generator, all sorts of stuff you cant really run. So i'll stay away from urban for a little while
