You should have been rooting for Dawgs, this will hurt OSU's SOS and reduce their chances for an at large BCS bowl bid.
 
I hate to be THAT guy but as a person that has lived on the West coast my whole life... I don't yet for some reason consider the Utah Utes or the CU Buffaloes to be Pac 10 members (that's right, I said 10 damnit.... the west or Pacific coast ends prior to the Rocky Mountain damnit)
 
I am so fucking mad...they thought the game was over after the third and just dicked around and realized too late that they should actually do something. Sark better male them condition for a week straight
 
no way. UW fans are just as bad as duck fans. Ive never met a cougar fan who wasnt super chill and not a dick. Ive had 60 year old douchebag UW fans give me shit for wearing my beaver gear at work.

lol, please dont compare dawg fans to duck fans. i live in wa and my fb news feed has been blowing up from obnoxious cougs fans. hows 3-9 feel? ya dawgs lost to a 3-9 team but i can live with a winning season.
 
Dont pretend like the loss doesnt sting. Especially the way it happened. thats a gut wrenching defeat at the hands of your rival who is terrible.

I think the refs gave em a little help. Towards the end there seemed to be a PI on every damn play. Overall a terribly executed game by both teams. Both desereved to lose
 
The false start call when it was clearly encroachment upon reply right before the missed field goal (would have been a 1st down) is what really stands out to me. But the Dawgs definitely deserved to lose. At least we made the Beavers Cardinal our bitch this year.
 
That was clearly a false start on Price. He jerked his head as if the play had started. False starts arent just on the o line

 
Did we also forget about the field goal that a D1 kiker should make in his sleep that wasn't made? We shouldn't have been in that situation but we were so make the damn kick
 
I dont know who kohls is but it was on Price. I didnt hear the official call a number but the replay showed Price try and draw the defense offside by jerking his head. Why he didnt use a hard snap count i dont know.

orly? i'm not a fan of UW or WSU, but i think this fuckin speaks for itself. sidenote, i went to highschool with ASJ my freshman and sophomore year and he's a nice, solid guy. Austin Seferian-Jenkins punched by a fan following 2012 Apple Cup

closer look at the punch that sent Austin Seferian-Jenkins to the ground following the Apple Cup, and more information.

We're going to run through this from the top now that we've looked at multiple videos, slowed things down and blown them up. Thanks to Mark's sleuthing and a quick check of a few things, we know the player being punched by a fan in the video posted earlier is Austin Seferian-Jenkins. He was on the field for the final field goal of the Apple Cup and is pretty recognizable anyway.

Since the whole incident has blown up, we'll run down what happened as best we can. First, the GIF again:

That should make it perfectly clear where the incident happens. The question is why in the world a fan threw a punch at Seferian-Jenkins following the game. That's something we can't really answer, though, beyond pointing out the stupidity of the act. It looks like Seferian-Jenkins bumps into the woman running onto the field a second or so before he was punched. Seferian-Jenkins was looking forward and the woman appeared to have her head turned in a different direction. It actually looks like he reaches out to catch her.The man in the dark jacket comes out of nowhere and swings with his right arm. At the same time, there's someone in front of Seferian-Jenkins and I can't tell what they're doing. Either way, the fan in the dark jacket came out of nowhere with a sucker-punch to the face of Seferian-Jenkins -- a punch that came as the Washington tight end was looking away.

And you know what? It doesn't matter if Seferian-Jenkins was punched or shoved. Either way, this was absolutely stupid. The fan, or fans, took a moment of joy and jubilation and turned it into a awful incident. This shifts the way the Apple Cup is framed. It turns the narrative into "WSU has bad fans" again.

That's a damn shame. On Friday, you had a team that never gave up and fought back, as well as a ton of great storylines. But thanks to a couple idiots, this is what people will be talking about.

Rushing the field is fun -- a moment that fans and players can bond and share in joy. It's also dangerous. Mixing fans, alcohol and angry players is a bad combination, and it's a wonder this doesn't happen even more. It's a problem, especially when incidents like these happen.

If you know who threw the punch, tell someone. Tell us, or let the proper authorities know. There's absolutely no reason to punch a player, and there should be consequences.
